Why am I so pessimistic about this? I just can't imagine myself seeing a clean Yamuna in next 20 years at least. We were also promised water taxies from Prayagraj to Varanasi by the great Gadkari ji amidst the last ardha-kumbha at Prayagraj (2019).
Heard from senior citizens of Delhi that there used to a Boat Club and boating competitions on the River Yamuna. Heard from them that they used to cut classes from Delhi University and go swimming in the river. Never thought that this would happen in my lifetime. Today the PM has promised to clean this sacred river. Dare we hope that in a few years we will get a beautiful riverfront like many other cities in India. We are a river valley civilisation, we venerate our rivers, what better time than during the Mahakumbh to pledge to ourselves to do our bit in whatever way we can to help clean our rivers.

@aviralwtd @Ra_Bies Many who had prior registration for stay were turned away on arrival in days leading upto Amavasya. Even today while going for morning snana, came across a woman who told similar experience - paisa lei liye, ab kah rhe jao.

@DivyaSoti Kumbh ke marg sone ki jagah kyon bn gae hain? Kyonki sone ki jagah puri tarah se commercialize ho gyi hai, aur keemat ki koi thaah nhi. jo log kahin tike hain pahle se, un pr jagah khali krne ke liye pressure bnaya jaa rha hai, kyonki nae log jyada paisa denge. Mera anubhav.
