I'll be available for full-time work in 2024, but if you want a treat, check out my self-published books and online comic.
I do make a little bit of ad revenue off the comic, so please turn off ad block if you can. ❤
I am 67 years old and I’m here to tell you it’s ok to still draw cartoons and enjoy the craft of animation. Just make sure you go outside and do other things every once in awhile. Eat a veggie and a fruit, drink some water. Don’t forget to bring a jacket.
Putting out a positive reminder, all those animated pitches you’re dreaming of, they don’t have to be animated. Please try making a comic, or even an animatic, an illustrated book! And those don’t even have to have the goal as a presentation for an animated pitch!

“What experience in the work place radicalized you?”
Timing of this was too good.
There’s a long list for this, mostly a great experience, but taught me studios don’t care about views, work ethic, if you treat your crew kindly, etc etc.
If you like this read my comic Harpy Gee
If you’re pitching to the studios and you want something in your contract to get your IP back, “rights reversion” is what you’ll want to add. It’s easier to get if your work has already been published out in the wild. It’s why I can still make my comic and sell merch.
FYI, if you’re sharing pitches online for the first time, please be aware sometimes people will take aspects for other projects sitting in dev. I went to a meeting once, and an exec thumbed thru my packet and would only say how many of these ideas would work great for one-
Midjourney developers caught discussing laundering, and creating a database of Artists (who have been dehumanized to styles) to train Midjourney off of. This has been submitted into evidence for the lawsuit. Prompt engineers, your “skills” are not yours
Somehow, it’s easy to not realize, no one deserves “a show”.
If there’s a story you want to tell, using other means, writing, comics, animatics, etc. is totally fine and doesn’t make your ideas or dreams any less real.
Monday reminder: Art is hard. Keeping others happy with your art when it's your job is harder. Do something nice for yourself at the end of the day. How other's value your work for better or worse is not a reflection of who you are.
I've been wanting to draw this since last fall, after talking to a friend about how we wish there were more girl sword cartoons.

Back in 2009 during the recession, I had a hard time finding work. The only consistent work I had was freelancing design on Transformers Animated. Derrick Wyatt didn't have to give me work, but he did. This art is back in my possession, I gave it to him as a thank you.
