@dibiagioandrea @Cosmalano I think they also have a much greater chance of making an important contribution following a new program, than in ones which have been around for decades. There's a lot of low hanging fruit, a lot of interest, and the scope (quantum nature of spacetime) is very broad. 2/2

The crackpots will have the last laugh when journal editors stop replying to 𝑜𝑢𝑟 emails because they can’t tell our papers from AI-generated pseudononsense.
I've had a long-standing policy of replying to any "crackpot" emails I get, as long as they sound like they're in good faith, with some encouragement and feedback. Unfortunately I'm now getting a stream of AI-crackpot emails, engaging with which is a complete waste of time...
