I hope Holly found herself in a place with an abundance of salmon this year, and didn’t feel she needed to travel to the river. I still hold on to hope that she will return next season. I miss seeing this beautiful sow. From August 8, 2023.

The little survivor, 610❤️As a yearling she was separated from her mom 171 for unknown reasons. She had a large wound on her hip that ran across her back. She managed to survivor her first winter alone, as a yearling. Amazing girl, 10 yrs old now.

Look at how relatively unscarred 856 is, except for that 151 butt bite this year. For a bear who was the most dominant bear for an amazing 10 years or more, this is a testament at just how powerful he is. I am happy to see him back at the falls.
