Okay. Have to admit I found the 17% figure a bit jarring about my age. In 1980, I worked on the Bush presidential primary campaign and managed a congressional challenger campaign. It was the Carter presidency that turned me into a Republican!
Time marches on. Only 42% of Americans today were alive when Jimmy Carter was President. Only 17% were old enough to vote for/against him in 1980.
