Helping generative artists to inscribe their work on Bitcoin Ordinals. CTO @vivid_ordinals

In collaboration with @CyberSeaNFT, @vivid_ordinals has introduced the first Proof of Provenance that firmly establishes Deus Ex Machina within our family tree. To ensure strong provenance guarantees, we re-inscribed the proof on the same satoshi that holds DEM’s parent. This proof inscription has two parents: the artist’s Seal and Vivid’s root seal, leveraging the Cousin relationship to unify the entire collection by colocating inscriptions on the same satoshi. Staying true to our approach, we used only recursive elements—including DEM’s own code—to construct this PoP, keeping it highly efficient at just 6KB. Check out the technical aspects of the Cousin relationship in this post: We believe this technique is the most effective way to improve provenance for older collections that use the Parent-Child structure but lack a broader inscription network with strong guarantees. By leveraging the Ordinals protocol, we ensure the ongoing recognition of the connection . Reinforcing provenance helps collectors and artists trust the authenticity of their inscriptions. The more developed and interconnected an inscription tree becomes, the stronger its provenance, since replicating the entire artistic and collaborative history behind it grows exponentially more difficult. Meanwhile, verifying any inscription within the tree instantly reveals inconsistencies, making it easy to distinguish authentic works from counterfeits. At @vivid_ordinals, we remain committed to enhancing the provenance of our older collections. Similar Proofs of Provenance are coming for Artifakt, FloraForms, Mitosis, and The Golden Ratio. A huge thanks to @CyberSeaNFT for his expertise and dedication in making this first Proof of Provenance a true success! We’d love to hear your thoughts—what do you think about this approach to provenance?

@CyberSeaNFT @BaseChain @vivid_ordinals Exactly! For collections without a Parent such as our own SATS and Rising Echoes we are waiting for the finalisation of the Galleries, which could provide something similar in terms of integration into the tree. Though not as powerful as parent-child

@BudSnob @CyberSeaNFT @vivid_ordinals I'm really happy with our current system of growing up our family tree with each new work released, but it's true that we needed a solution to integrate our earliest work on Ordinals who couldn't benefit from it. The result turned out to be a huge success!

@TanimOnchain @vivid_ordinals @CyberSeaNFT It is! And now that the collection is complete we have burned the Parent/PoP to officially and definitely close it

@Deathnote_007 @CyberSeaNFT @vivid_ordinals Haha I agree not the simplest way to do it but imo that’s the best we can do while sticking to the Ordinals protocol! Thanks 🙏
