@ArmchairPseph @TheEmissaryCo Polarization didn't just "start existing" out of nowhere. It was meticulously created by RSS/BJP and allies.
@phromokesaro @TheEmissaryCo There was a good amount of religious polarization but that overhyped slogan played no real role in sparking it, it was just an attempt to play into pre-existing sentiment and didn't really have that much voter impact.

@ArmchairPseph @TheEmissaryCo No. Ladki Bahin was clearly not their campaign focus. Focus was always "Ek hai to safe hai". Freebies cannot give a ~15% difference over the opposition. Atbest they give a 1-2% swing that's it.
