@ronkelawal
She may not physically be able to approach anybody and that’s what’s terrifying. I’ve heard of a few cases where women have been kidnapped and held in basements for years having several babies in the process 😣
@pinkolate_
Being condescending was completely unnecessary as I’m far from slow. Disappointed as someone who’s supported you for a long time on TikTok but since we’re being cheeky go look on Oxford’s references and tell me what’s next to Black British English in brackets quickly.
@thedigitaldash_
Imo they’re not avoiding being drug users, the dominant discourse is always “weed isn’t addictive”… they don’t want to be seen as addicts
@melissasigodo
Wow. What a passive aggressive and disingenuous woman. Nowhere in the update she provided before this one did it say these things. She’s now punishing Brendan for the public rightfully trying to protect him and ensure their money went where it was intended to. She’s vile.
@pinkolate_
Just because Patois and Pidgin is INCLUDED in Black British slang doesn’t mean it’s not what it is originally. It’s not cultural syncretism so whatever that “source”is, it’s not credible.
@MsJazzybelle
For me it’s less about being a burden to others and more about them (unintentionally) being a burden to me. Having to manage other people’s emotional reactions and worry in relation to what I’m going through really stresses me tf out and delays me processing even more 😣
@RejiYates
Since ppl are being obtuse or are fried from our elders lack of gatekeeping, I’m gonna speak for the Jamaicans with sense and say FUCK YES I see an issue with it. You can’t treat a countries tradition/culture/customs as fancy dress just cos you felt like it 🙄
@hashjenni
Girl no, not having examples of the grievances you’re bringing to someone can be manipulative cos atp you’re arguing to argue. If someone freezes and can’t remember and you use that to invalidate their upset it can also be manipulative. NUANCE PEOPLE.
@MadisonKittay
Our cat died, he was 24 & my mom said she’d never have another pet cos she was so heartbroken. I bought a kitten for my bday in 2018 and a year later I went on holiday so mom looked after her while I was gone. She won’t give her back, just living her best life over there 😂
@BobLovesData
A lot of us are likeable and extremely efficient which you’d think would mean better positions/salaries, nope. We get exploited even more. I’ve opted for self employment cos I cba with dynamics and politics that should’ve been left on the playground.
@FemiNylander
@mikecmorgan
Loads of people reported the original page yesterday so the refunds would be automatic due to Clare breaking Gofundme’s rules regarding distribution. The funds will have been frozen and access revoked so they can’t be reallocated, there needs to be a whole new page!
For it to be cultural syncretism London would have to have a unique Black culture which we (Caribbean’s and Africans) created so by this logic wahala is London slang. I think you’re trying to describe linguistic syncretism and it still makes no sense.
Imagine growing up your entire life thinking you’re South African. You enter Miss SA, make the top ten.
You then find out you’re not who you thought you were. Your mother is a fraudster and an entire country is praying for your downfall.
Your mother and officials involved then
@connorfarrell09
How about you stfu and pray a random man doesn’t get his dick out and start masturbating while staring at Violet when she’s just trying to get from A to B you fucking pleb.
@metroadlib
@Karnythia
Check out ‘ceeangelica’ on TikTok she posted a couple screenshots you can see how he looks too. I figured miss Ashley would stick beside him after all the lil shade she was throwing and implying she slept with him while the other girl was waiting smh
@GirlNamedMarley
Omg you too? The third day I came off that app I read a full book and I felt my nervous system relax just focusing on one subject. My friend was saying she can’t even focus on books anymore and she was an avid reader 😳
@SarahMarieOB
Honestly, I think audhd informed/ focused therapy should be mandatory post diagnoses to help us late diagnosed folk unpack as too many of us end up with CPTSD from doing life raw and thinking somethings wrong with us
Box her over asking for WiFi password? And he knew he was wrong cos he said to delete that part not knowing it’s live 🤦🏽♀️
I think it’s time for that young lady to go home
@5PL45HG0D
@ms___dale
@tolusaba
If the patient isn’t a Turkish citizen they’d have listed cosmetic surgery on their visa for their reason for travelling. Coming back covered in bandages, which is what would happen cos nobody heals that quickly, wouldn’t be an issue.
@REDSEASHAWTY
@kiwithagr8
Just wanted to say as good as this book is, the concept was stolen from Alice Miller. Her book is called The Body Never Lies and is much more thorough, it came out in 2004 :)
@nigerixn
@pinkolate_
I’m the other girl being referenced. By her “standards” (2 language/literature based degrees and attending grammar school🙄) I’m her intellectual equal, yet when I challenged her she was ableist and blocked me before I responded. It was never about reasoning only snobbery, so no!
@carrchristmas
Oh brother… I’m concerned that on top of the virtue signalling he’d steal POC content and reframe our talking points as his own. I don’t trust this at all it’s so disingenuous.
Yes Ollie could’ve done things differently which he’s admitted. But when someone’s telling you they’re overwhelmed and you keep poking at them what kind of reaction do you expect? I really like Jasmine but she did too much
#LoveIsBlindUK
i often think about what a self-indictment it is that non-autistics consider it to be a bad thing (to the extent that it’s a diagnostic criterion for autism) that we stick to our principles even when doing so is socially unpopular
This is why all the “come to ends” tweets were pissing me off. Bermondsey, Bromley, Eltham, Bexley, Downham etc exist. They don’t need to come, they’re here and waiting to pop off. Ppl just want to see bloodshed I’m convinced.
@truthchyna
As did you 🤝🏽😂. People eating up “cultural syncretism” cos they don’t care to actually understand terms they’ve never heard, as long as it sounds good and can be twisted to fit an agenda I guess lmao
Anyway I’m ready to find out that Ollie really does love Demi and people were just projecting their stupid little biases onto both of them 🤞🏽
#LoveIsBlindUK
Which is most if not all of them tbh. It’s not just amputees, people conveniently forget how disabling things like PTSD, anxiety, depression, broken bones from malnutrition, injuries from sexual assault, PTSD etc etc etc are.
The judge is a woman, and this is what we mean when we say male-centred women are fucking dangerous and despicable humans. This little girl committed suicide after her rape and he gets a slap on the wrist
in one of the harshest punishments for child rape I’ve ever seen handed out in the UK… the judge strongly reprimanded the the rapist and told him to “respect women” before letting him go
You can’t hold somebody accountable who sees nothing wrong with their behaviour. By the sounds of it, this one and Ashley were equally yolked as friends 🤷🏽♀️
#TreacherousLiar
Idc about any Nigerian or non-Jamaican’s opinion on this. Certain jokes can’t run and he should’ve known better than to say something so ignorant and renk.
@connorfarrell09
Course you didn’t, Connor. And nobody is “targeting” your child you cretin. Go play victim with someone who cares cos the videos are VERY clear.
People trying to say it’s both clearly don’t know how language works. It can never be both, you’re just speaking patois and that’s ok. Next they’re gonna try convince us that wagwarn is south London slang. As a South Londoner, pls stop it. 🙄
@SyddTheAquarius
My girl said slowly but unfortunately for her I got the savant kinda autism, have two language and literature based degrees and a special interest in etymology. it’s ok I found the lil excerpt from the unpublished essay that lacked examples quite entertaining x 🤣
Yup and later on they had the nerve to casually relay an interaction with someone else who they perceived as rude, mean and negative, ending the story with “but maybe they’re autistic”
