I have given up all hope when it comes to the Oscars. I hardly even care anymore. The multiple Thomas Newman snubs for best score are behind me, but all will (almost) be forgiven if they hand it to Daniel Blumberg this year for his work on The Brutalist.

Regarding the price of eggs . . . As much of an inconvenience as it might be, shop them out. Here in SoCal, most big chain grocery stores are far more expensive than smaller chains like Trader Joes. Ralphs: $8.99/doz. TJ's: $4.99/doz - and these were cage free with dark yolks.

@Slatzism Met him at a conference. He was incredibly affable, but reeked of bullshit. A friend and I ran into his wife the next night at a separate event - alone, at the bar. I recognized her from the doc. She flirted. Found out later that he’d been cheating on her the entire time.
