A pair of wolves howling; took 3 weeks of trying to get close to enough to them. Following their tracks through the forest.

After heavy snowfall the microphones (sass) was almost buried! Been following wolf tracks for past week and they regularly circle past the mic. Temperatures are dropping and wind speeds have reached 100km. Managed to hear and record a bit of wolf howling over the high winds.

After a few years of on and off trying to hear the voice of Mouflon, finally managed to record one in the wild!

@BenReichstein I can upload later, was some thumping and clicking mostly. This was from outside the tree, as it was leaking. but pretty much sounded like this, I didn't put a probe inside, just mounted on the branch.

This years Red Deer rut recordings will be broadcast today! It lasted about 3 weeks, and in the middle of the season it was interrupted by heavy rain and flooding so all went quiet. Tried to represent this also in the show - hope you enjoy!

Red Deer from this years rutt, deep in the forest, on the edge of a lake- the sound of this one alone travelled 2km. I didn't get closer to it but found a small pond where they would pop up at sometimes.

Could hear the red deer around 1km away yesterday so went searching for a possible spot and found many signs of them being active here, deep in the forest. Will be back later to listen in!

@bolt_wav Nice sound! when I was in lockdown I spent a whole day experimenting with all items, doors, cupboards and other things around the kitchen...you can get really absorbed by this sort of things and time flies...:D
