I believe it’s worth considering there are motives. I personally cannot believe anyone does this it type of radical overhaul out the kindness of heart? Their allegiance to our nation? Just cause he’s always wanted to be an American? There is money somewhere. Who becomes a rich businessman and suddenly quits caring about cash? I can’t name one.

(Cont’d) The ingredients are there … and the talent! As a Navy vet, I’ve known some Commanders by rank and others like Platoon Commanders that were total badasses. Some had a huge influence on me as a boss and mentors. I’ve lived in other states (with a larger military vet populations) that would easily see the strength in the name. I get that some just want to complain, but I’d never tell a platoon commander the term is “for wussies”. lol Especially ironic for those who admire the power of any President to deploy troops and execute military strikes. I think of this scene from “Charlie Wilson’s War” every day. With every gov’t action, political tantrum (on both sides) and/or doomsday prediction. Do this! No, Do that! Fight! or the joy of watching others cry … Everyone thinks they know best right now. Remember the Zen master. “We’ll see …” If you’re not willing to take a breath and examine the issue from all sides, get used to being upset.

Agree it will take time to get traction. Agree also that roll out was done poorly. As a veteran in DC metro (with only a few vet neighbors) I can’t help but wonder how a bad ass military theme would have played. I imagine states like NC, TX and others would appreciate CDR far more than the highly educated, transplant audience in the DMV. (many of whom never served).
