Hall of fame is stretford. I had a short spell at st retfords grammar school and a minute or two at st bedes. On my way to bedes I would get on the single decker 22 and would not be able to see through bedroom windows like in my song silhouettes I woke up this morning feeling fine and I played it’s nice to be out in the morning by Herman’s hermits and relived the glory days of Manchester
There you go, Peter, more local lads like us (we'll to a degree) they at one time lived in Chorlton, and their cousin lived on Goldsworthy Road, talking of local, Morrisey was born in Park hospital and lived on King's Road Stretford and Mick Hucknall lived in Chorlton and Phil Lynott live for some time at his aunties pub in Chorlton.

I remember jumping off the bus outside the post office there, and hitting the concrete lamp post and getting up quickly like Nobby Stiles and walking Away from my house hoping Norma Teasdale hadn’t seen me cry . Of course I did later when no one could see me. Liking
@peternoone all the flats at woodsend have now gone, and the only recognisable part of woodsend Circle is the shops at the roundabout on the corner of Moorside Road (where the post office used to be)

@CraigHughes123 @FlixtonUrmston I remember that huge block of flats !! On the other side was Woodsend Circle and a RECORD STORE and the lady would play a record before you purchased it. She sold me a Perry Como Lp for my mum’s Christmas present and she was a lady who liked music.
