I am so sad to hear of the death of Jean Bishop. She was a remarkable woman. She was so Hull, so funny and sharp as a pin. She raised so much money as the Bee Lady and I had the honour of meeting her many times. Of all the pics I have this is my favourite. RIP Jean.
Very sad news that the body found in the Humber Estuary is Libby Squire. Libby went missing on February the 1st. Her family have been informed and are receiving support. I am sure all our thoughts are with them this evening.
Hull is not a dump, If you don't have anything positive to say then I suggest you say nothing as it's offensive to those of us who live here and disagree with your remarks. Sorry to be blunt.
So sad to read about Paul O’Grady. A brilliant live performer who never took himself that seriously. A man full of compassion for people and of course animals. Thoughts with his family and friends.
40 years of Breakfast TV on BBC1.This guy had very dark hair on Breakfast news for quite a few years in the 80s. That jacket! More on

Many congratulations to my mate of many years Paul Hudson and Kate on the birth of their beautiful daughter Anya Viola. Such wonderful news. Px

Thank you for the lovely messages and sorry to not have been on here. Had an eye operation at the brilliant Hull Eye Hospital on Thursday. Hull is so lucky to have this incredible pioneering place. At home recovering. Have missed you.

Queens Gardens is looking beautiful at the moment and people been sitting there all day and then leave their rubbish, I just took this pic, why do people do it! I don’t understand. Look after our city and don’t expect others to pick up your rubbish!
Happy Christmas, I know it’s different! If, like me, you can’t see your family because of the situation, then we’ll all make up for it later in the year. Have a good day. x
Have been to say goodbye to Austin Mitchell today. A friend for 46 years and 38 of them representing Great Grimsby as the towns MP. A real gentleman. RIP.
So very sad to hear of the death of Brigit Forsyth. I used to love The Likely Lads when I was young and then a few years ago was thrilled to film with her in Still Open all Hours. RIP Brigit.
So gutted and sad to read about Bobby Ball. I saw him at Hull comedy club in September last year and he was still at the top of his game. Thoughts with his family and with
@TheTommyCannon
Will this year ever give up?
The BBC started Look North from Hull for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire 21 years ago today. Best years of my life for sure! Thanks for watching and for the support. Have a good day.
Whats happening with rents? Seen two flats tonight on line in Hull for 900 a month. Just gone on! Does anyone have that sort of money here? No wonder younger people cant save for a deposit and buy. Such a shame or am I being very old fashioned?

So very sad hearing about the death of Austin Mitchell. A friend since 1975 when he offered me a job and I moved to Bradford. He was born in the city and was a popular TV presenter, he went on to be the Grimsby MP for many years. Fun, modest + very clever. My thoughts with Linda
Happy 98th Birthday to Hull’s Queen Bee Jean Bishop. This favourite picture of mine from June 2018. Happy Birthday Jean, sorry I can’t come and see you, Peter x
Look North live from Hull for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire on BBC1 started 20 years ago today. Thank you for supporting us and giving me the best years of my life.
Very sad to hear of the death of Johnny Johnson at the age of 101. The last of the Dambusters and part of 617 Squadron. This was in Lincoln in 2018. RIP Sir.
First time I’ve seen this at Kilnsea. Sound mirror built for WW1 to pick up sound of enemy aircraft. Incredible forerunner of radar. Kilnsea is one of only 4 in the UK.
