My piece today in @ConGeostrategy's Observing China argues Britain should retain sovereignty over the Chagos Archipelago because in an increasingly unstable world geography matters more for the future of a liberal order than it has in decades.

Important facts from today's @FT about the work our NATO partners have done to increase defense budgets over the past few years👇. Still, significant room for improvement from some key members.

Baltic Cable Damage Was Accidental? … “The most important thing in any hybrid operation is deniability…the ships' anomalous movements and the well-funded, decadal Russian intelligence effort to map out NATO's seabed infrastructure” suggest otherwise.

The reestablished practice of pre requisitioning is expanding. Today, 14 000 Norwegians got a message that their vehicle, boat, equipment or property is to be handed over to the Armed Forces in wartime. The numbers for 2022 and 2023 were around 4000.
