This morning alongside @fordnation, @sylviajonesmpp, @MichaelTibollo, @AnnetteGroves_, and @patrickbrownont,  I was thrilled to announce @RunnymedeHC’s Post-Traumatic Stress Injury Centre of Excellence—the first publicly funded centre of its kind in Canada. This centre will be game changing for first responders across Ontario. I cannot thank you enough for your dedication in keeping the people of Ontario safe. We will always have your backs.

We owe a huge debt to our first responders, who make incredible sacrifices to keep our communities safe. Today, I announced that we’re supporting Canada’s first dedicated post-traumatic stress injury treatment centres for first responders in partnership with @RunnymedeHC. These centres, located in Caledon and Toronto, will provide critical mental health treatment for our brave women and men in uniform. Find out more:

Ontario’s firefighters thank Premier @fordnation for his steadfast support of the @runnymedehc's First Responders Post Traumatic Stress Injury Rehabilitation Centre. Firefighters experience mental health challenges more frequently than the general public due to their frequent exposure to traumatic events in the course of their duties serving the public. This generous investment means construction can begin on this one-of-a-kind center, which will provide essential support to firefighters in need.

Ontario is expanding protections for firefighters! Yesterday, I was honoured to speak at the @opffa Legislative Conference alongside Premier @fordnation and Minister @MPPKerzner. With #WFW6, we’ll lower service duration requirements for kidney cancer and expand presumptive occupational cancer coverage for firefighters across Ontario. Thank you Greg Horton, Bob McCutcheon, Gavin Jacklyn, and the Bowman family for your leadership and advocacy.
