what's so funny to me about takes like this is that they just fully ignore alllllll of the many many platonic relationships between men and women ON THIS EXACT SHOW to shout down people who like the idea of syd/carmy being romantic.
Good. It is GOOD to have examples on tv of people who are intimate but not romantic. This is a side of friendship that we love to pretend can’t exist on screen between men and women!

Nancy Drew is *the* spiritual successor to Buffy and it deserves way more recognition than it gets. It’s funny, smart, spooky, deals with loads of real world issues with attention and care, and is so filled with friendship and love and romance. I ADORE IT 😭
