Tonight, and for the next three nights of Pride here in San Francisco, a 4.1-mile-long rainbow made of laser light will beam horizontally from the San Francisco Ferry Building up Market Street towards Twin Peaks.
This installation is called WELCOME. (1/7)
For years, you've been telling us to make a tripod. For years, we've been designing one. Today, we're bringing it to life. Introducing the Peak Design Travel Tripod, now live on Kickstarter.

Hi
@JeffBezos
, usually I'm not the "talk to the manager" type, but google said you are the manager of and
@AmazonHelp
is not responding?? Just wanted to let you know there is a bad apple at your company STEALING our designs.
Calling all Black photographers and filmmakers:

This is the Mobile Tripod. Designed by the same team of engineers as our Travel Tripod, it's an ultra-portable platform for capturing photo and video off of the capable little camera that you are likely holding in your hand right this second.
WELCOME is an ephemeral piece of light art from the team at
@IlluminatedArts
, being put on in partnership with
@KarlTheFog
, and proudly sponsored by us here at Peak Design. (2/7)
We’ve got 40 employees and not a single one of us has a Pop Socket on their phone. Do you? Make us believers. Or, if you have a Justin Bieber Pop Socket, make us Beliebers.
Based on the rainbow flag designed by artist and activist Gilbert Baker, WELCOME was originally meant to add to Pride’s celebratory nature. This morning’s ruling from the Supreme Court reminds us that Baker’s flag was and is a symbol of protest, defiance, and solidarity. (3/7)
A lot of tripods out there don't come with the best possible protection, which doesn't make a lot of sense. So we asked our award-winning soft goods team to specially design this handsome, sling-able, and cushiony-soft case, included with your purchase of the Travel Tripod.
The Peak Design Marketplace is live (the Easy Button to buy and sell used PD gear)-
Seasonal fashion and celeb collabs are cool and all, but what really gets us stoked is the notion that bags we sell today will still be in use 20 years from now.
If you’re gonna make gear for photographers, you can’t skip the most widely distributed camera of all time. Mobile by Peak Design is your phone, but better. Live on Kickstarter now.

Come capture some photos and videos of the piece - it should be beautiful. Tag your work with

in the photographer’s name. (6/7)

When you obsessively design every single detail, it starts to add up. Check out this review to see how our 45L Travel Backpack stacks up against the competition.
This beaut may only be available at our SF Flagship, but it's so dope we're showing it to all of you. This Limited Edition Sutro-adorned Peak Design Cuff is a subtle nod to the city we call home. It's not flashy or in your face, but those who get it, get it.
Sometimes a pouch is too small and a backpack is too big. That's why we call the Everyday Sling the Goldilocks of Carry. (Okay, we don't actually, but hopefully now we will.)
Take your phone out of your pocket. Hold it close, and whisper in its little phone ear, “Your time has come, my sweet rectangle prince.”
Our crowdfunded Mobile ecosystem is now available to purchase on !
"So I thought this guy was checking me out one day as I was walking through the gym when he came up to me asking...where I got my duffel bag..."

If you are in the Bay, we invite you to come see WELCOME in person. Our guess is that there will be a mixture of celebration, reflection, defiance, and camaraderie on the streets of San Francisco these next few nights. (5/7)
Two ways to get the PD logo on your chest: A tattoo, or the PD x Give'r Hoodie collab (orders close MIDNIGHT TONIGHT Cali time).
We recommend the hoodie route, but if you do go with the tattoo, pics or it didn't happen.
We’ll be giving out some Peak gear too; more info on that later.
WELCOME will be up Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 9:30pm - midnight PT. (7/7)
For the first 4 days of the Travel Tripod's public launch back in April, we set aside 100% of profits from sales to give to the

The Limited Edition Peak Design x Huckberry Travel Backpack 30L in Coyote Tan: a long name for a dope pack. Our first ever departure from our usual pack material, this custom colorway might just be one of the sweetest collabs we’ve ever done.

After 10 years of tripod fever dreams and napkin doodles, and a few years of actual engineering, the Travel Tripod is live on and at retailers globally. We sure are proud of this little beaut.
Ending today: We're donating 100% of Tripod profits straight toward battling the pandemic and climate change. Because apparently 2020 is the year we all started living inside a frickin Turducken of messed up situations.
Once thought to be extinct, here's a sighting of a rare Arctic Hopping Camera captured for the first time in its natural habitat. Remarkable.
Speaking of Capture...
Whew that new iPhone13 is throwing some SWEET tools to photo and video makers. Thinking about getting one? Make the move today to pair it with the Peak Design Everyday Case. Reserve yours now -
We recently had a customer tell us they really loved the "slingy thingies." We probably won't change the name on the website just yet, but that does have a nice ring to it.
Like so many things, the days of the normal sale are now behind us. So we're doing a BIG ASS SALE. It's like a normal sale, but big ass. 20% - 40% off almost everything we make. GO. NOW.
T-minus 5 minutes before all heck breaks loose. Garbage Bag of Money entrants, be prepared for a storm of Tweets, the likes of which you've never fathomed.
What an upset, folks! With these dope-ass kicks, Tim Cook gives us a flashback to 2018, which was the last time he departed from the classic black uppers + white soles combo. But we're not calling it yet...might we see an unprecedented WARDROBE CHANGE?
Do you all remember Clippy the Office Assistant? He doesn't have anything to do with our Capture Clip, of course, but we were feeling nostalgic and needed a caption. Buy our products.
On June 19th, 1865, Union Soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas and read General Order No. 3, ending the practice of Black enslavement in the last vestiges of the Confederacy, two and a half years after Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. ⠀
