GOP denied the bill because they didn't want it to come to a vote, so the gov was shut down on the basis of stalemate. Once again, GOP didn't want to play by the rules they pretend to fight for. It's a really interesting moment in modern history, I encourage you to look it up.

A recent example: Obama tried to appoint a supreme judge a year before his term was up and the GOP said a year turnover is too quick. Yet they did whatever they could do to rush Kavenaugh’s appointment in THREE months because they new midterms were coming up. It’s GOP hypocrisy

I do think those words are what you should say AS LONG AS YOU MEAN THEM. Not sarcastically, not whimsically, but to provide those words with empathy, which is hard to do in a confrontation. Or you can say "is there something you need to get off your chest?"

The greatest sin the reboot did was to have a budget ten times the amount of the original and access to computer technology and somehow make the dream sequences bland and uninspired. Craven did more wonders with hydrolics and goop than the reboot did with all its resources.

I think the unsaid thing here is that it was not about literal hotness (although a lot of you or gorgeous), but more of a celebration of authors. I mean, I'm not more than a 2 out of 10 on a good day, but I participated because everyone (and every author) is hot in their own way.

My parents let me watch R rated films, and taught me *why* I shouldn’t say bad things, not just that I shouldn’t. I also had to close my eyes for sex scenes. When I asked why, they said it was bc I needed to learn to respect a person’s body before seeing it for entertainment.
