Stfu. Schools were shut for maybe 3 months max. Low literacy levels have a shit ton more to do with lowering standards in schools, refusing to hold kids back so their feelings aren’t hurt, and parents giving up on the idea of helping their kids learn when at home to close gaps.

My standard response to “why are you masked” is now “I don’t see how that’s any of your business”. They usually shut up pretty quick after that.
Just had a nurse ask me why I'm wearing a mask, & then told me to take it off. She went on about how covid was over & that all the staff had stopped masking. I politely refused to take it off. The ignorance of some healthcare workers is stunning! #Covidisntover

People that cheer the end of the Department of Education are fucking idiots. Getting rid of the DoE will eliminate IDEA legislation which is THE ONLY thing that makes schools meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. It will hurt a lot of kids directly but especially disabled kids and disabled kids in red states. Y'all need to stick to what you know and shut the fuck up otherwise.
