Great night in Auckland, delighted with the response from the team. We were brave with the ball & played with great energy. Then showing the other side of whats needed, finishing the game with strength & resilience. The work ethic was incredible. Now time to rest.

It’s nice to get the rewards to play our style & creating this new identity. Some superb performances, incredible impact from the bench & an evolving togetherness. Nice feeling to get the first W, there is still more to come from us. Thanks to our fantastic supporters who stayed.

Great day for the club. Two from two at our home. As we learn more about our origin story and connect with our iwi, we were able to recognise the settlement of Parikaka (5-Nov, 1881) and their courage through peaceful resistance.

Tough game. We just never got into our rhythm, finding it hard to execute our passes & style of play. But the spirit was strong, this team never give up. @ccmariners were great, brilliant stadium to play at too. We’ll learn a lot from the match and make the improvements we need.

Injury update: Rebecca Lake has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. The Canterbury centre back suffered a high ankle sprain in the first half of the Phoenix’s 3-1 win over Perth Glory last week and will be sidelined for six weeks. All the best for your recovery Bex
