@T2Rugby @Rugbyworldmag Yep, that 06 game still among the biggest anomalies of all. As you say though, ABs were miles ahead of the pack, as they showed in a couple of November Tests.

@T2Rugby @Rugbyworldmag Yep, Traille makes the point that the current side is even better than that group, even if their Six Nations record will not compare. That 07 semi-final loss as frustrating as any defeat since I've been watching, along with 23 quarter.

@Rugbyworldmag With thanks to @ElissaldeJB, @imanolHARI, @damientraille, Frédéric Michalak and David Ellis for talking me through their memories🙏

@FrancoisR_uk Yeah, I'd have probably gone with Brennan too, although Auradou is probably the best lineout caller if Roumat is off. On form, Jégou has earned his chance, but certainly see the argument for leaving both of them out of the squad for this 6N at least.

@Matt_Cotton Yeah, a shame how he has fallen down the pecking order. Decision to leave Bordeaux really hasn't worked out at all.

@Matt_Cotton It's quite a bold move to play him at lock as he had never started there before last week. Generally is more of an eight or flanker. But it's a similar move to what they did with Woki a few years back. He's huge for the lineout but quite light for a lock.

@MonsieurGrind Yep, Boudehent back in training today. Think he just emptied the tank against Wales so was given a bit of extra recovery time.

@StephenWall1985 @CRichardsonTel Admittedly, only 20 of those minutes played with a fly-half outside him.

@CRichardsonTel I assume so, although barring injury, I think the most likely scenario for the end of the game is a Lucu-Dupont half-back pairing!

@StephenWall1985 Yep, he's done ok when thrown in at the deep end Agreed on Daunivucu, although as mentioned elsewhere, centre probably where there is the most depth in this squad An interesting development with the nines, but feels like a gamble longer term imo

@tjpw_1 @MB5Plug Yes, was a real surprise inclusion for that tour. He ended up being the only player from the initial squad who didn't play, but they clearly rate him. But he's probably best suited to playing centre, and Taccola and Brau-Boirie are two of the more experienced guys in the squad.

@MB5Plug Yep, makes sense with all the centre options to try one of them further out. Agreed on Motassi, although not sure who is covering nine if he doesn't go the full 80. And yes for Daunivucu, his development could have a big influence on La Rochelle bouncing back.

@ConorFletcher5 @Johan_Jordaan72 @CaolanSRugby Rocky periods, yes, but they have never missed the playoffs since getting promoted. This year they are in a relegation fight instead. That’s not to say it’s the right decision or he’s at fault, but don’t think it’s just because he’s foreign.
