@IreportsV @NewYorkStateAG Yes. By "private citizens", they mean federal employees. They don't think DOGE should be allowed to see the info of the people they're auditing.

@maxfawcett That's your proof? A pipeline that had to go private after being denied funding by Chrystia Freeland herself?

Not everything is situational, no. There are countless evil things this kid could do that would get him fired. The bubble that's been burst is pretending racism is the most evil thing you can do. A blasphemy that you can never let slide without becoming a blasphemer yourself. Even if they're just edgy tweets, even if the people lodging the complaint have hypocritcally treated it as situational for years & are clearly scrambling for any excuse to reassert their power.

@Martyupnorth_2 Fuck it, I signed on. I'm on board with step 1, getting the referendum. But step 2 will be a fight between the people who want to try being a landlocked sovereign nation, and the people who want to try to see if Trump was serious about creating a 51st state. Brace yourself.

@annakhachiyan It is hilarious that they've been sidetracked from fighting a historic attack on the US administrative state, to arguing that one of the people doing it should be fired for his bad tweets. They're back in their comfort zone, God bless

@yegwave The head of the AHS got canned, and is suing for $1.7 million dollars. With no apparent evidence of wrongdoing, besides the timing seeming suspicious to her. The healthcare system falling into disrepair under her watch seems like a perfectly cromulent explanation to me.

@jsnbase For fucks sake, show people the full clip. He's at a talk on "political theology", the interviewer asked him to explain why his students keep hearing about Carl Schmitt, and this is his explanation. Preceded and followed by him *critiquing* Schmitt.

@hutchinson It's ironic that every time my side says something wrong, I know because this website feeds me accounts I don't follow posting true information I don't want to hear... But then inevitably those people are convinced all this platform does is misinform & want it all regulated.

@Mangalawyer One thing to remember: games take years to make, we're seeing games which likely had scripts written as far back as 2020, peak woke. They may have believed this to be down-the-middle centrist, *just* enough to get away with making a Eurocentric game & white male protagonist.

@MorganLaidler Tax break for parents >>> free daycare They can work and get daycare if they want. But the idea of a mom working some meaningless job she hates, while her kid is at a state-funded daycare he hates, when we could just give her the money, letting her actually raise her own kid...

@cornrowballs @BasOMatic @maiamindel I will admit: apparently @hoe_math has run with exactly this interpretation. I apologize for hoe_math.
Imagine being dumb enough to believe this, on an instinctual level you should immediately understand this doesn’t make sense, and if you don’t, I have zero trust in your ability to think critically

@justNPCthings @realsydroc @DreamLeaf5 But they also ones where you had to allocate limited points, and one where you can allocate infinite points. All got similar results, conservatives allocating more to inners rungs than liberals.

@eigenrobot Rufo's take:
My guess is that @elonmusk is sequencing DOGE from smallest to largest, in order to quickly gain knowledge and build momentum. Start with USAID, then go to Department of Education, then use that knowledge to go after the behemoths: medical, military, intelligence.

Which showed the same thing, liberals chose more outer rungs. We can see from earlier data only "Very Liberal" actually puts *animals* higher than humans. So, the heat map wouldn't look as dramatic as some people believe. Sure. We do see however, liberals put "friends" above "family". And "all humanity" above "nation" and... "family". These could be placed in a heatmap and get the same avocado/steak look. And most importantly, forget about this paid-survey study: identifying more with "all humanity" than "nation" or even "family" completely fits with actual liberals I know.

@SneakyVertical @Liv_Boeree @Chemjamin Kind of, though they asked different questions for each category, they didn't just ask "how much do you love X". So it's unclear you can compare the two:

@AliceOfVoid @StopAndDecrypt @slatestarcodex @pmarca nor is it infinite Also, FWIW, they did a follow-up where they participants *did* have infinite points to allocate to the rungs. Conservatives actually gave slightly *more* points to non-humans when the points were free. They just gave even more to humans.
