Got something cool in the mail today!
Thanks for all of the support over the past few years, I’m so grateful to do this for a living and for my awesome community of gamers 🥰
When
@shroud
understands the main issues with Destiny PvP after only playing for only a few days 🙄
I've been saying this for almost 9 years now. We need modes that focus more on gunplay and less on ability spam to bridge the gap with players who come from more traditional FPS
I took like a month off of Destiny to grind Orion in MW2, and in my first 3 IB games I realized that...
- apparently kills don't matter?
- everyone is titan now?
- barricades EVERYWHERE?
- lag = worse than ever?
- there are cabal turrets in PvP?!
I don't get this game anymore 😭
Petition to add Austringer back to the loot pool as an end of match reward for Crucible. The chance to get a god roll Eyasluna kept so many of us playing D1 for ages. Let's bring it back
@Bungie
! 🙏
Instead of Bungie focusing on making more PvP maps, it would be much more beneficial to the community to instead develop a solid forge mode.
Favorite maps created by the community could go into the official rotation and it would open up so many fun ideas for PvP, SRL, etc.
I’m legitimately thinking about hosting a D2 boomer league tournament or weekly league this spring. Probably 30+ to enter. Who would be interested in watching or participating?
You know what I miss? The anticipation of seeing who gets a crazy drop at the end of PvP games.
Sure it was annoying when the person who JUST joined gets the Eyasluna drop, but it was still fun having a sense of anticipation to see who was going to get something insane!
I feel like this stance is so problematic in Destiny. You're always incentivized to take advantage of the newest efficient farming loop ASAP because you know it will be patched if it benefits the player in any way.
So instead of doing the newest content like the raid all day
With all of the great Destiny 1 maps in existence, I still can't quite believe that Exodus Blue made it into D2 😂
Am I crazy? I have hated this map for so many years now
Maybe a hot take, but I hate the resilience stat in Destiny. I don’t think it should exist.
In PvP it punishes hunters for needing mobility for class cooldown, and PvE not having high res feels awful.
I’d love to see it reworked for some other purpose than granting health (1/2)
Dear
@Bungie
,
This weapon is so fun and beautiful. Both modes are so useful in different situations too! But it would be even cooler if we could swap between them by holding reload. Please? 🥺🙏
I feel like Destiny would benefit so much from a few simple quality of life changes:
- remove glimmer cost to slot mods
- remove cap on enhancement prisms (makes crucible/vanguard rank ups so much less painful)
- increase ascendant shard cap
- more vault space
- auto delete blues
I feel like one of the simplest ways to make PvP balance easier for the dev team each season would be to disable any artifact mods that affect abilities in PvP
We can have our chaotic fun in PvE with all the broken combos, and keep PvP relatively balanced season to season
Excited for new season... but I’m dreading the 500/500 vault scenario.
Can we please get some updates to this system?
Storable rolls in collections, pay silver for more space, make me play 100 hours of Gambit - anything! I’ll do it, just gimme more space 🙏
1/2
I've said it before, but I think one of the smartest things
@Bungie
could do to keep players engaged every season is to give +20 vault space to players who reach level 100 on the paid season pass just like stash tabs in Diablo 3 (1/2)
Something I don't understand about the Destiny community...
Many players want SBMM for Trials to make it "fair", but I have a feeling if those same players had to do harder versions of GM NFs than PvP players since they have more experience in strikes, they'd lose it.
I feel like the majority of recent Destiny direction changes just don’t align with what I’ve loved about the game for so many years.
I still have a lot of love for the game and hope they bring some fire content this year that gets me re-engaged but I can’t shake the feeling
Can you imagine the PvP hype if that TWAB also announced CBMM and map voting/selective queue?
It always feels like we're just a few tweaks away from another golden age of the crucible
Yesterday I attended a virtual summit with
@Bungie
. I can’t talk much about it but we had some awesome conversations about many of the current pain points in the game with incredibly brilliant and passionate people.
Feeling excited for the future!
This has to be the laggiest D2 PvP has ever been right?
I can't remember a time in history where I so frequently saw players just completely lagging out in games. It's happening multiple engagements every single game lately
Petition to make this tiny reticle a reasonable size lol. I wanna like this sniper so much but I feel like I need reading glasses to see this tiny thing 😂
Can we please get rid of this ridiculous accuracy penalty on stasis slow? How does only 1 of these shots hit in a game with hitboxes the size of a small planet?
Dude what happened to PvP? Playing comp for powerfuls and it's literally all stasis, titans with citans, 120 hand cannons mapping from 45m. The only changeup is chaos reach warlocks cheesing for supers 🤮
Bring me back to the forsaken days, at least OEM had different subclasses
It’s really interesting seeing the poor response to PvP improvement content in D2 right now (coming from myself and other creators).
It seems like players generally don’t care much about improving, which makes sense given the lack of incentive to actually get better
If Destiny’s PvP had zero potential, no one would care and it would be a moot point. The problem is that anyone who has put some real time into PvP can clearly see how good it COULD be with proper investment, which is the frustrating part
it *is* pretty wild this is a game with 500K daily PvP players and it is borderline treated like it doesn't exist
I get that PvP is a "free" part of the game and you can't sell new maps or whatever, but come on
YouTuber: I just spent an insane amount of hours updating my exotic weapon tier list so it's finally up to date again.
Bungie: Hmmm, let me announce a million changes so you can redo everything 🤔
3 changes...
1. Reduce damage / range of fissures fragment in PvP
2. Reduce suck-in range of duskfield grenades in PvP
3. Reduce stasis titan super damage resistance + duration
All of the sudden stasis in PvP will feel much more in line with light based subclasses
One of the most frustrating parts of Destiny PvP for me is that there are a few amazing maps that I love to play, but I have no influence over how often I get to play them aside from custom matches.
A map voting or selective map queue system would help this game so much 🙏
My heart goes out to all the people at Bungie impacted by the layoffs today. Every person I've ever met who built Destiny has been so clearly passionate about the work they did creating this game. I hope you find new exciting opportunities quickly that inspire you just as much or
The biggest thing I really miss in Destiny 2's history was the desire to grind and improve at PvP back in Season 3.
I'm not sure if pinnacle weapons behind comp ranks were a good or bad thing, but man did it make me want to get better. I miss that drive to improve so much
Destiny 2 veterans: I'm trying to recall the very first PvP meta on vanilla launch for a video. What exotic armor / subclasses do you remember being most prominent for each class?
What have been the worst things about Titans in Destiny history?
Talking about annoying things to play against in PvP, broken things in PvE, weird bugs, etc.
If you’re in a tense gaming situation like a 1v1 or clutch opportunity, and your teammate says “you win these” “you’re better” etc…
Do you perform better or worse?
… or just remove it entirely. Also intellect should be changed too imo. Just make intellect govern class ability regen and take that away as a secondary benefit of mob/res/rec
It makes no sense to me that titans and warlocks basically get free faster class cooldown
@MTashed
This is actually so true. The best way to enjoy Destiny again is to take a little break and try other games, then realize Destiny has so much more to offer than a lot of the competition. Every time I come back after a break I remember how fun it can be! Then I die to stasis 😂
LOL so I bought a new xbox after not using a controller for like 5 years. Thought it would be a good idea to play SBMM control for my PvP pinnacle...
I don't think I've ever been owned this hard in the history of my gaming career haha. I should stream how awful I am at this now
Made it another year older today! Feeling grateful for all of my awesome friends 🥳
Also preparing for the Destiny Boomer PvP league someday... I'll be ready
I swear the easiest way to get me excited about PvP again without even adding anything new to the game would be to make a mode that has no supers and ability recharge rates are cut in half. I'd play that all day
This would be such a banger mode to try in Destiny PvP. You start with no abilities, just guns and jumps. Then you fight for power positions on maps where you earn light and can use abilities for a short duration.
They already have the basic infrastructure for it with the way
For a while now I've been saying this concept of picking up ability regen should be implemented in PvP. Instead of gaining abilities for doing NOTHING, there can be points of interest on maps that reward different ability regen. Think picking up overshield in Halo.
I'm pretty ready for the double-zap dunes thing to get fixed. This has been happening to me so much lately!
Anyone else feel like they are getting double-zapped a lot this season? ⚡
Getting bagged by endless sweaty 6 stacks while trying to get footage using obscure and bad exotic weapons might be the thing that finally does me in
It was a good run 😅
SO much fun playing Trials with
@CammyCakesYT
and
@AscendantNomad
! I really love seeing how different players approach the map and various situations.
Also Cammy is one of the best communicators I've played with, it's like having an air traffic controller calling out every move
