I am excited to annonce that I will be defending my dissertation "Cyborg Psychology: Designing and Evaluating Human-AI Systems for Human Flourishing" on July 23, 2024 at 11am at MIT Media Lab, E15 - Bartos Theatre, 20 Ames Street, Cambridge, MA
I am very excited that our paper “AI-generated characters for supporting personalized learning and well-being” is now published in Nature Machine Intelligence. I would like to thank my co-authors for supporting this magical work 🙌🚀🦖🤖More soon! :
Le Guin asserted that to face the challenging times ahead, we’ll need “writers who can remember freedom — poets, visionaries — realists of a larger reality.”
Due to the successful CHI 2021 Workshop, “Speculating on Biodesign in the Future Home” , in this year’s workshop we look forward to attracting participants from the emerging field of Biological-HCI.

After Sam Altman departs OpenAI today, I would nominate Pattie Maes, an MIT Professor and Pioneer of AI for Human Augmentation, as well as a Serial Entrepreneur, for the CEO position. AGI would be in safe hands with someone as brilliant and thoughtful as Pattie.

This paper investigates AI's impact on student agency via a study in peer feedback. Results indicate a student tendency to rely on, rather than learn from, AI.
This study situated generative AI in this context, highlighting generative AI as exacerbating the following four social forces: deskilling, dehumanization, disconnection, and disinformation.

For nearly a hundred years in this publication (and long before that elsewhere) people have worried that new technologies could alter what it means to be human.
As dialogue agents become increasingly human-like in their performance, we must develop effective ways to describe their behaviour in high-level terms without falling into the trap of anthropomorphism. Here we foreground the concept of role play.
In 2010 when I was in high school, I discovered the MIT Media Lab from watching Professor Pattie Maes's TED talk. I felt for the first time the place that "invents the future", where science, art, design, and engineering can co-exist in harmony.
The results demonstrate that the device with explainable feedback is effective in enhancing rationality by helping users differentiate between statements supported by evidence and those without.
✍️ I just signed “Disrupting the Deepfake Supply Chain” on , because we need new laws and regulations to protect us from the harms of deepfakes.

I am so grateful for the incredibly bold leadership of our external relationship director, Mirei Rioux, and my colleague Irmandy Wicaksono, for the effort in this endeavor. I also want to thank Professor Dava Newman, our director, and all the faculty members for their support.
As a student from Southeast Asia, the Media Lab seems very far away and impossible to reach. However, I tried to reach out to my hero, Pattie, telling her about my dream of becoming a scientist. Pattie was so kind to email me back, and now she is my Ph.D. advisor at the Media Lab

But these are best viewed as the last vestiges of the old era of A.I., in which the people building A.I. regarded the technology with both wonder and terror. Now, the utopians are in the driver’s seat. Full speed ahead.
Another reason that I am excited about this is because the MAXXI - National Museum of 21st Century Art is designed by one of the greatest architect
@ZahaHadid1
the future imagined by “Oscar Wilde, William Morris, and a lot of utopian positive thinking, where technology makes work lighter. It’s not eliminating work – it’s bringing light to work.”

I am very excited about this opportunity to bring the "magic" of MIT Media Lab to my home country and this wonderful region of Southeast Asia. I hope that if there are kids who love futuristic innovation like me somewhere, they will think that nothing is impossible!!!
ChatGPT use shows that the grant-application system is broken. The fact that artificial intelligence can do much of the work makes a mockery of the process. It’s time to make it easier for scientists to ask for research funding.
“Hype leads to hubris, and hubris leads to conceit, and conceit leads to failure” - Rodney Brooks is still very impressive and cool! I love his no-BS attitude.
Here we show that those who perceived a caring motive for the AI also perceived it as more trustworthy, empathetic and better-performing, and that the effects of priming and initial mental models were stronger for
a more sophisticated AI model.
Finally, this event wouldn't be possible without the generous support from KBTG, Bangkok Bank, MIT Alumni Association, True, MQDC, SCG, MITTA, and Techsacue. I want to personally thanks P' Krathing and P' Will Smittinet for the tremendous encouragement from day one.
