Something I’ve come to realize about most of the American left, is that we believe that it’s liberals’ job to win and hold power, our job to shame them, and their moral duty to listen to us—a tiny powerless minority—and do our bidding. It’s a toddler’s theory of change

We desperately need the next Dem trifecta to abolish gerrymandering nationwide or these Republican supermajorities will condemn their states to permanent backwater status
It's genuinely crazy that there's a state legislative chamber out there that will probably ZERO competitive elections this entire decade. Tennessee's State Senate map is such a gerrymander that most "competitive" seat on it backed Harris by 14 last year (SD-20).

Part of why I think democracy's on the decline is that voters have been insulated against a lot of bad decision-making for decades, empowering anti-government actors to gradually decay institutions. If we eliminated gridlock (either way) voters would get what they voted for.
