Well that’s incredible, I wrote 24 poems in 27 days in Paris, one of which is 7 pages and one day when I wrote 7! I’m halfway through 10th collection. Tomorrow I return with a one day general strike in Paris & tube strike in London! Hope I get home to Cornwall. wish me luck

What’s the secret? An auto response email, barely no posting on social media except this! And a very precious few days left in Paris. Carefully arranged research sorties out of attic!

That’s ridiculous I wrote first drafts of seven poems today and I’d had a bad night and didn’t feel well. Now have one third (at least) of tenth collection!

I find getting a new collection / book started is a wonderful corrective to non prize shortlistings or no reviews in papers for current book. Just keep the creativity going, that’s what matters, not accolades

I’m writing my 10th collection. The title poem’s a long one in haiku form & I started it months ago but had neither time nor headspace to continue. Spent a whole yr teaching & promoting 2 new books. Excited to say I’ve now written 7 key poems in. Paris & solitude does that for me

Good morning! Beast could do with more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ratings / reviews, if you read it and enjoyed it I’d be so grateful, poetry does not get many and they really help poets sell books 📚 https://t.co/K9H06c2zKL

The view from my tiny balcony in the attic, top 5th floor opposite main entrance to Sorbonne, Marie et Pierre Curie campus. 5 mins walk from Jardin des Plantes. I’ve bought a year pass to zoos & museums so I can walk there everyday especially in the Ménagerie. There’s no lift!

A poem about time I spent living in Ireland has made it out into the world thanks to @River_Heron . I spent a difficult year in a remote farmhouse on the Atlantic coast. Got to also shout out to @pascalepoet in whose workshop this poem was born https://t.co/3xs9GjNnse

I wrote an essay for @Writers_Artists on perservering to publish poetry and how to keep going!
All poets need perserverance. Pascale Petit @pascalepoet talks about managing disappointments and the benefits of finding a mentor. The Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2026 is available to purchase now: https://t.co/zooKA0CmN2
