i start work in surgery tomorrow, so today i was glad to get a final group picture with this team. i couldn’t have asked for a better group of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and health care assistants to work with during covid-19.

so i was back working in the hospital this weekend, on a break from working in GP. i was caring for a very unwell woman in her 80’s. her husband sat holding her hand the entire time. when he said to her “please baby, i need you to get better” i was fighting back the tears 💕

on my third 13 hour shift in a row, and it’s the third day in a row i’ve had to make the call to move a patient to end of life care. making the call to their loved ones never gets any easier.. your heart breaks for them every single time

the nurses on the stroke ward are organising a big night out and honestly i could not be more EXCITED. i can’t remember the last time i had a proper night out.. definitely pre covid 😭 i fully plan on getting carried home 😵💫

This is a post i’ve been contemplating making for a while now. 2 years ago my mental health started to decline steadily. I kept telling myself things would get better on their own, it’s just a rough patch. I hid it from everyone. I shut myself off. Tried to deal with it alone.
