Your opinion that crypto is used for crime came from analysts who discover patterns in data. You only know that terrorists use it because industry professionals have told you they do, because it is traceable. ~5% of the world's GDP is laundered yearly in fiat but you have a problem with the technology, strangely enough, you had no idea that illicit activity can be collected in real-time & centralized exchanges have logs. If your sticking point is that people trade crypto with fiat off chain, arguably fiat/old banking is still the issue.

The point is that it's not able to perform this action on its own. If loops aren't necessary, how would you process a large arbitrary dataset with BSV? (stepping is not looping) (also given that yes I realize BSV is not for that, but in order to be turing complete you should be able to pick something out of a hat)

@mc_frontalot If I was MC Frontalot I would front a little just to be safe, then front a lot when they least expect.

@kurtwuckertjr @hodlonaut So then coordinating, got it. Also, apart from just now I've never heard of or said hyperbitcoinization.

@Proportionatty @satoshi It needs an external force to step the state forward & it cannot do a loop on it's own. Ergo it is not a complete computational system, and not turing complete. What you are describing is a loophole, not an actual loop.

Unexpected 2023 bingo, BSV != Craig's vision. That's something I can get behind. @shadders333 I did not know you chose the naming convention. Respect to you for clarifying this.
It's a few years too late but this is a fascinating conversation. For the record I chose the name "Satoshi's Vision" to clearly distinguish it from Craig. If it was going to be CV the onus was on him to prove it was the same thing. It should have stayed SV until then but it didn't which is one of the main causes of its downfall.

@Proportionatty @satoshi So then we agree. Bitcoin cannot perform these loops on its own, yes?

@Proportionatty @satoshi I read the article and expanded my knowledge of turing systems. What do you have to say about transactions being a limiting factor in the progression of state?
