The Royal Court of Guernsey recorded its highest ever personal injury damages award in the case of JG v AC.  Gerard McDermott KC and Ian Denham, instructed by Stewarts, represented JG who sustained a complete spinal cord injury, resulting in tetraplegia.

Ben Bradley, instructed by Leanne Atkinson of Irwin Mitchell, successfully represented the Claimant following a 6-day trial before HHJ Kelly in Birmingham. The trial revolved around a PEG Procedure performed by a Consultant Gastroenterologist.

The COA handed down judgment in Darby v Wang in which Helen Pugh acted for the successful appellant. The case made waves from the outset when it was taken as authority for the proposition that cryptocurrencies could constitute property subject to a trust.

In Gregory & Stroilov v (1) Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (2) Judicial Appointments and Conduct Ombudsman, Dove J refused permission for the Claimants to proceed with their judicial review claim. Alex Line represented the First Defendant. More:

Louis Weston acted for the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) in the prosecution of Leighton Bennett and Billy Warriner for numerous breaches of the DRA Rules, including match fixing. Mr Bennett was suspended for 8 years and Mr Warriner for 10 years.

Jeremy Scott-Joynt of successfully secured acquittal of a Manager of a Norfolk logistics company,who was under investigation by the DVSA for more than three years.He had faced five counts of aiding the falsification of tachograph records by four drivers .
