The Royal Court of Guernsey recorded its highest ever personal injury damages award in the case of JG v AC.  Gerard McDermott KC and Ian Denham, instructed by Stewarts, represented JG who sustained a complete spinal cord injury, resulting in tetraplegia.

Ben Bradley, instructed by Leanne Atkinson of Irwin Mitchell, successfully represented the Claimant following a 6-day trial before HHJ Kelly in Birmingham. The trial revolved around a PEG Procedure performed by a Consultant Gastroenterologist.

The COA handed down judgment in Darby v Wang in which Helen Pugh acted for the successful appellant. The case made waves from the outset when it was taken as authority for the proposition that cryptocurrencies could constitute property subject to a trust.
