Your logic can be applied in another direction. The evidence and logic that Karen struck John fatally with the Lexus is beyond a reasonable and unassailable. Yet the Federal government used its massive power to violate the rights of private citizens accused of no crime, except by a defendant. That federal govt also leaked information about those witnesses to a murder defendant, who the Feds knew was feeding to a cult leader using it to target those innocent witnesses. When those witnesses, who were appearing before the Federal grand jury, went to the US Attorney for help they were ignored. When the murder victim's family went to the Feds, they too have been ignored completely. This combination of an unethical federal prosecutor and the agents working under them aligning with a murder defendant and a deranged mob is one the more dangerous developments in recent US history. What I am telling you now should be clear to people already, but I promise you, it soon will be to just about everyone. And then everyone will be asking: how did we let this defendant and a handful of unscrupulous youtubers dupe us.

To a defense team sitting on a bad hand...and they truly are...that prospect is terrifying. Before, they counted on being able to befuddle the prosecution, distract them, get under their skin. Now they see a prosecutor that is building on the work from the first trial and just relentlessly, methodically powering through...everything. He's not afraid of any evidence Karen might have. He's not afraid of any witness. He's going to keep coming and coming, and there's no trick the defendant can try. It showed on her face today how upsetting that is. And the prosecution handed them a huuuuuge stash of new evidence last night. I don't necessarily mean no as in new revelations, but the defense now knows exactly what the state's experts are going to say, and they know what the state found in the new chip off data. Whatever they told Karen, the stress of it showed on her face today. There is no way to stop what's coming. In the first trial, Lally was forced to react to every trick the defense tried. Now the shoe is on the other foot.

The Norfolk DA, in an official document, states that the US Attorney's Office leaked the times and dates of witnesses in the federal grand jury to Karen Read, who leaked them to Turtleboy. Those witnesses begged the US Attorney for help and were ignored. As they were being ignored, the US Attorney himself took the unusual step of questioning the witnesses on the stand, and used a blow up of Turtle's article to grill them. Given how sensitive you guys are to headlines, certainly Levy knew full well those witnesses were being hounded by Turtleboy and his mob...yet he used that prop. Integrity means doing the right thing even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts. Does your office have exculpatory evidence regarding the witnesses being hounded and destroyed in no small part due to the actions of the US Attorney's office? If it does, it needs to be released immediately. If justice matters, it needs to be released BEFORE the April 1 trial. The truth will one day come out. That should not guide your decisions, they should be guided by a desire to do the right thing. But it will come out, so you will be judged by whether you did the right thing in the moment. That moment is now.

The original footage aired by Dateline really, really showed visible lying. But what they put online was edited to make it not look that way. Of course, the original footage is edited somewhat too, so we're really need to see the raw footage. But that original footage looked close to that, and what looked like dishonesty was not only obvious, but glaringly obvious.
