‘as we know all of killing eve was improvised. there were no scripts, you guys just made it all up.’
jodie: yeah you can tell, right?
sandra: oh god.. you’re so close in that one.
THE SHADE I CANT.
laura neal: well that’s when v realises they’re on different paths
jodie comer: […]i’m thinking of near the end, where villanelle is observing eve do something and there’s a real freeness to her [...] that villanelle is spellbound by. it made me really emotional.
#killingeve
they think killing villanelle was such a brave move. such a surprising twist. guess what would've been more brave: letting the character thats conditioned to think that she's unlovable and a monster find love and live a life. THATS bravery. not the bullshit we got fed
#killingeve
what's that stage of grief called where you whop out physics and laws of nature to show how dumb and ridiculous the season finale was? because we reached that point
#killingeve
it’s funny to me how cast and producers of a queer show like killing eve go out of their way to mock their queer audience, the audience that gave them success. it’s mindblowing to me how you cause pain like that and laugh at our faces in such a vile way.
#killingeve
imagine you're phoebe- waller- bridge, you created one of the best 1st season of tv shows there is. it gets awards. it gets praise and good press left and right. 5 years later everything is in shambles and ruined and everyone is shredding killing eve to pieces. id cry ngl
lexa: gets taught that love is weakness, wants love, finds her love, gets shot, dies
villanelle: gets taught she’s an unlovable monster, wants love, finds her love, gets shot, dies
if one of your lead actresses answers the question about the finale of the show with
‘we committed to it’
‘we TRIED to stay true to the characters’
‘we did the absolute best we could’
then you know the writing just was nonexistent.
#killingeve
jodie saying they did the best they could. and i agree. sandra and jodie did the best they could with the scripts that they were given. you can tell how quiet and anxious they get talking about the end. jodie let’s us now that those characters belong to us now. she knew.
the fact that the official killing eve twitter account posted villanelles and eves kiss and nothing more that came after the episode kind of says it all
laura neal: their relationship is toxic and obsessive. it’s something eve needs to be freed of. she’ll find a way to live without villanelle. she’ll be fine, ready for a new life.
jodie and sandra:
#killingeve
i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again:
sandra’s and jodie’s silence is incredibly telling. this show is a huge part of both their careers. to not say nothing, to not promote it AT ALL during the season- their silence is deafening. but it says it all.
#killingeve
i can’t. the killing eve twitter account said ‘look villanelle and eve kissed’, posted a picture of cast and crew and called it a day. too terrified to post about villanelle and eves ugly homophobic ending.
whenever i see someone talking about a possible season 5 i just think about how jodie said wrapping up the show made her free and how sandra never returns to shit once it’s over and-
do you ever think about how much potential killing eve had? does it ever drive you nuts thinking about it? i want to smash my whole head trough a wall CONSTANTLY.
always remember: carolyn’s sniper couldn’t hit villanelle in the head while she was right there but hit her again and again while she was under water, in the dark, behind a boat.
just a summery of my week after the killing eve finale: not one day i was able to eat properly. i’ve slept around 2 hours every night and i wake up feeling heartbroken, disappointed and angry every morning.
laura neal really wants to make us think that villanelle is this cold hearted psychopath that isn’t capable of loving someone but yet villanelle looks at eve like she hung the stars in the sky
#killingeve
what will always hurt my heart is that villanelle didn't want much. she didn't ask for much. just for a life with her love, eve, movie nights and a nice flat. thats it. and she nearly had it.
a show thats praised for effortless wlw- representation and a queer writer room shouldn’t end with fans having to check in on their friends in case they’re not doing well. we’ve been there before. many times.
#killingeve
im just begging people to behave in the theatre. like this ain’t a night at the cinema. please. PLEASE behave and let jodie do her thing in peace. this is not about killing eve. it’s about her play. let her have that. thank you.
'there’s one person who is my obsession, my other half. the person who’s pushed me to the limit and that is the incredible jodie comer. jode thank you so much. when its just the two of us on set, there is just, the entire world goes away.'
- sandra oh
sandra oh: ‘they need each other to complete themselves or to help each other grow.’
laura neal: ‘i hope when fans see the ‘the end’ they’ll know that eve is going to have an amazing life ahead of her.’
sure. without her other half.
#killingeve
what still hurts to think about is jodie and sandra absolutely loving their characters and being in love with this show for years, being filled with pride, only for killing eve to end like this. just because of some woman’s ego
everything that was good about season 4 of killing eve was improvised or indicated by sandra and jodie. and yet laura neal sits there and toots her own horn cause she thinks she did something. it’s embarrassing.
no one could’ve done this better. no one could’ve played our eve polastri and our villanelle better than sandra oh and jodie comer. they’re a gift and i’m glad i get to see them change lives.
#killingeve
@angeldgbo
they did the bare minimum and i respect that. they showed they’re unhappy with the ending on multiple interviews. them not promoting what will hurt the fans? i appreciate that
jodie comer, being told she‘ll never be able to do theater, does her west end debut, standing ovations every time, excellent reviews and eventually her going to do the play on broadway. no one does it like her.
