@Samson1176 @megan_feringa Not arguing against the equal footing, just saying from a business point of view it is sensible to maximise opportunities that will arise from its growth/increased exposure. Alan just is looking at it from how he sees womens football. I'm saying he is missing the business angle

@Samson1176 @megan_feringa Yeah, the people running the clubs can see where this attention is and will look to monetise it. Genuine question with no malice, why does women's football growing impact you? I love most sports, but the ones I don't follow, good luck to them. Sport is great

@Samson1176 @megan_feringa You are missing the point. Revenue growth gets the attention of CEOs. Clubs look for ways to maximise revenues in any way they can, they will look to make money from the women's team also. I dont watch much WSL but can see the way TV coverage is increasing and its growth

@Samson1176 @megan_feringa I'm talking about its growth from a business perspective not the current balance sheet. Revenues for women's football passed £100m in 23/24 for the first time. When revenues are increasing it gets the attention of the owners.

@MoonmanMUFC @megan_feringa Compared to mens yes. But you can't deny womens football is growing. Growth brings more sponsorship as companies want to show diversity. If MUs women team makes even a small amount of extra money the business wins. Which is the bottom line for owners

@ProFootballTalk 2 line judges saw it differently, with the one on the blind side of Allen saying it was short and the one who could actually see the ball running in suggesting it was 1st to the Bills. How did the blind side judge not cede his colleague had a better view?

@andrewbensonf1 Additionally every driver should sign a letter again criticising the FIA using swear words to see if they'd ban all 20 drivers for a month

@tpj1952 @megan_feringa If it becomes more expensive for the clubs to run bigger squads (which they'll have to do) then that will change in future negotiations. Irrespective of that I cannot see them being given permission by the FA the EFL clubs will shout it down saying its a competitive advantage

@BBCSportWales The winner will realistically play on average at least another 10 games a season with this. Its going to impact on league performance. All for grass root improvements but surely the clubs will end up hoovering up the extra money themselves as they'll need bigger squads to cope
