"Just one more shot" Anyone who has ever dated, or was friends with a landscape photographer, knows that phrase well. As I'm leaving a location, it never fails that I'll see multiple scenes that I just need one more shot of. I took this as I was leaving the park, I'm glad I did.

There's a place in Sequoia National Park called Morrow Rock where there are warnings all over the place about lightning dangers because several people have been struck. The day I was there, it was intermittently snowing, so I didn't think much of the lightning signs posted along

I love scenes that have different layers that give you a sense of depth, and there was a lot of it here. This is why I like to shoot vertical more than landscape. Where I was standing, it was a partly sunny sky. The speckled sun was illuminating the sand dunes and foreground.

One thing I love about phone cameras is that the sensors are so small that you don't get a shallow depth of field, which enables pictures like this. Although full frame cameras are superior in many areas, they can't capture a scene like this. #sunset #photography #beach
