#Rays newest addition at catcher, Danny Jansen, is excited to be with his new teammates in camp. He told me he has always admired Tampa Bay from afar. “It's always felt like a headache playing (against the Rays),” Jansen said. “Offensively and defensively — so talented, you know, action on the bases and their pitching staff. So it's going to be fun to be a part of it.” Jansen has experience playing away from his home ballpark — as the did with the Blue Jays in Dunedin in 2020 due to the pandemic, an experience he can draw on given this season’s home games at @GMSField. “I guess I'm familiar with it…adds some adversity, for sure. We’re playing outside, which is definitely different, but it's all about the group inside, how we handle it and go about it. So yeah, it's gonna take everybody to be on the same page, but you can use it to an advantage, for sure.”
