furry fandom is crazy because you can meet someone named "fluffy da wusky" who tawks wike dis and they're the most racist, homophobic, evangelical white supremacist you've ever met
being a minor on the internet is rather unavoidable in this day and age but, minors, i’m begging you… please don’t advertise your age on your profiles. please don’t advertise personally identifying information on your carrds. it WILL be seen and used by bad, predatory people.
don’t know who needed to hear this today but remember that you are in possession of a unique and irreplaceable human soul and you’ve touched the lives of others in ways you may never truly realize. you are loved. you are valued. hang in there
I think as a predominately queer space, furries should be more concerned about the mounting pressure to make *all* conventions "family friendly," it's no different than the attempted sterilization of pride. corporations seek to erase our identities to make us more marketable.
Quick something for
@JibKodi
!! I’m a big fan of your character and animations and finally got around to doing art... Thank you so much for being a ray of positivity in these uncertain times <3
it's so surreal to have the time of your life and be surrounded by thousands of people who are interested in the same subculture you are, to be surrounded by people you've only known online, and then have that ripped away to assimilate back into normal society 4 days later
i understand the want to express yourself, and there are plenty of healthy ways to do that. please, express yourself! but please… don’t list every diagnosis you have, your ethnicity, age, and location online. you’re putting yourself in danger!!
finished up a retexture of
@moopdrea
's vrchat cat avatar!! this model was a lot of fun to work with... def considering taking commissions for reskins of these in the future!!
dare to be weird. dare to be openly queer. making some events 18+ is necessary. in some ways, it protects us. it is not the insidious thing it is being made out to be
@BarghestBlack
a good way to make friends from scratch is by checking out local events (NOT bars) but things like pride, art fairs, sit down events... especially if it's something you can find common ground about. you can also seek out local communities online
SHOUTOUT TO

@TwitchDaWoof
oh yeah! this is the person that filed an artist beware on me because i took too long on his commission while my mom was in the hospital having life threatening surgery (i was 16)… i remember him also going on a rant about how the fandom is hostile to straight male furries 😂
