Don’t use South Korea as reason for why there should be mandatory military service. They technically still have an ongoing war with North Korea. They can also AFFORD it. Philippines, should not even prioritize it over healthcare, poverty, and pandemic.I can’t. 🤦🏻♂️
WATCH: Filipinos here at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center chant “Marcos, Marcos, Marcos pa rin!” ahead of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. arrival at the venue. |

No, we don’t live in the Philippines anymore. No, we can’t vote for Leni. But what we do have is a huge social media following of Filipinos who can vote. It’s our duty to use our platform and privilege in such a crucial election for our home country. 💕🌸
#Ipana7oNa10to
I’ve seen comments, “you don’t live in the Philippines. Be quiet.” But we’re still Filipino. That’s where we were born and raised. We also have family there. We’re informed and educated about the situation because we care. Though we’re not celebrities, we have a platform to use.
Me: Ma, do you have Dad’s diplomas and his past job info?
Mom: In storage somewhere. Bakit gusto mo yon?
Me: I’ll update my resume.
Mom: Ano ngayon?
Me: Gagamitin ko yon baka maging President ako.
Mom: Puta shet ka.
Wanting a politician to have a college degree isn’t “elitist.”
You need to be educated to help run a whole country. Economics, public speaking, health, etc.
It’s not a job you can go into blindly. People are struggling and they don’t have time for you to learn on the job.
Some “celebrities” think just because you pay for someone’s services you can do anything you want.
Average workers in the Philippines won’t complain because they fear of losing their jobs or get bashed by fans.
Not shocking though, considering this is on brand…allegedly.
“Stay away from people with a bible verse on their bio.” I’ve seen this quote before, but from experience it’s so true that most of them are actually opposite of that verse. Mostly hypocritical. 👀
Story-time:
Went out on a date with a Filipino guy and during dinner I asked him if he spoke Tagalog. He said no, and that he was born in America.
He said that he found Filipinos who still speak Tagalog a turn off, but I’m an exception cause I don’t have a Filipino accent.

Seeing who got elected this Philippine election, I think my Mom, Apple and I ought to move back to the Philippines and build an EEDJIOT Dynasty and run for office.
Our platform is “No one left hungry because we’re never hungry.”
Slogan: Hindi kami tatakbo. Uupo lang kami.
Heart Evangelista is rich and she’s not shy showing it, but when we watch her vlogs, she doesn’t seem like she’s bragging about it. She just loves fashion and happens to be rich. But it’s relatable and not in your face.
I’m not a religious person, but I don’t think God would appreciate it if you keep using him as a scapegoat for your bad behavior.
Maybe actually do something about it instead of thinking it’s another one of “God’s plan” to teach you a lesson.
That’s the devil girl, not God.
I remember in high school our valedictorian was a Filipino boy who recently migrated to the US with a thick accent. The year prior, it was his sister.
I believe they both went on to go to Stanford.
It’s a friendly reminder that English isn’t a measurement of intelligence.
Pancit Bihon isn’t that good. It’s the least tastiest Filipino Pancit dish. Any kind of Pancit Palabok is much superior.
My Mom hates me for this opinion.🫣
When Leni first announced her candidacy as President of the Philippines, my sister said:
“She’s too honest, kind, and sincere to be president in this current political climate. It’s the unfortunate reality. If she wins great, but her talents will be in more use if she doesn’t.”
We had people who sent hate before, but very few. Now that we’ve come out for Leni, I’ve noticed so much more in our DMs and comments, especially on YouTube (comment filters works wonders). Having said that, no regrets voicing our support publicly. 🌸
It’s interesting when someone like Leni Robredo who lost the election and was attacked for being “stupid” and “weak” by her opponents seem to always be invited as a guest speaker in these prestigious institutions usually reserved for elected officials.
Hmmm…very telling.
Taking a bus is a problem? Isn’t that better for the environment?
Also, isn’t Leni a public citizen? I’m confused why anything she does would matter?
Only person you should worry about is the one using tax money for excessive amounts of foreign trips with a private plane.
Our family grew up on ABS-CBN. Even without a channel, my Mom is very stubborn and will only watch Filipinos news and dramas made by them.
Up to this day we still call them Channel 2. We’re biased, but when that’s all you’ve known all your life, it becomes your standard.
Me: Ano experience mo during Philippine Martial Law?
Mom: I was not affected kasi we were privileged. Pero dahil sa EDSA and documented history, we learned about those affected. Grabe.
Me: Pero aware ka?
Mom: Lahat positive sa media, no criticism. Ok buhay, pero off pakiramdam.
As Filipinos, let’s normalize speaking and writing in Tagalog and not to measure our intelligence in English.
I’ve been in the US since the age of 9, I still know Tagalog. In 1st grade we did a project for Linggo ng Wika. My line was “Isipin natin na tayo ay may wikang matino.”
Mama’s advice: Go back to the Philippines, find a nice cute Filipino guy, date, pen pal or whatever. Gay marriage is legal in US, take him here and get married. Boom EEDJIOT!
MSG isn’t bad. End the stigma in using it. You’re not eating it in spoonfuls, just a dash like salt. Every authentic Asian restaurant uses it.
Y’all need to start listening to Uncle Roger and not these uncultured “health experts.”
My Mom and sisters told me that in the Philippines you have to attach a picture of yourself with your resume. That’s so problematic. I worked in HR here in the US, it can create bias, so it’s not mandatory. You should be hired/interviewed based on your resume alone.
Like VP Leni, I also have a Mom that never remarried after my Dad passed away. My Mom stayed strong and raised 5 kids as a single Mom while working multiple jobs. I have so much respect for strong and inspiring women who gets things done regardless of any obstacle. 💗🌸
My Uncle just got back from the Philippines…he’s missing some chips and Queensland butter from luggage.
The hell is going on at NAIA?! Not even a few days after I posted about Apple’s experience. I swear, just taking shit for souvenir.
“Kids aren’t disciplined anymore.”
Says the generation who raised us with so much generational trauma.
Pressuring kids to finish school, make money, marriage with no priority on mental health.
Millennials/Gen Z get all the blame but the ones before us set a rocky foundation.
It’s sad when certain Fil-Am creators only bring out their Filipino side for clout and views.
If you’re truly in touch with being Filipino and proud of your culture, you can’t magically turn it on/off. Your actions will speak for itself.
You have no right to be transphobic to the new owner of Miss Universe just because your country lost. Even her own country didn’t make it in the finals.
The LGBTQ+ community isn’t one letter. Anne’s ownership is a historic moment for our community that we should be proud of.
Let’s normalize some people not wanting to be pranked or joked with. Honestly, most jokes/pranks nowadays are emotionally manipulative. Cheating, firing people, getting mad etc.
Where do you draw the line? You can’t expect everyone to react lightly.
Told him he has internalized racism and not he should seek help. He tried to argue with me and I spoke to him all in Tagalog. He was pissed off, but kept talking in Tagalog.
He paid his appetizer and stormed off. Enjoyed a nice meal with myself.
Considering marriage is legally binding and there’s separation of church and state, EVERYONE should have the right to marry regardless of sexuality.
If you don’t want that right for everyone, then ALL marriages shouldn’t be legal and instead just be a religious personal matter.
Philippines. This toxic way of supporting our candidates needs to stop. Every little move, hair out of place, diction, weight, costume, lack of smile, walk, etc.
These women are already being judged, they just need support, not your mean spirited opinions.
#MissUniverse
This new gen of love-teams have no creative freedom. They make the same 10 movies. I love Filipino films, but it’s true.
Juday, Piolo, Echo, Kristin, Claudine, they all had other work outside their respective love-teams.
Liza Soberano has every right to share her frustrations.
I hate it whenever I see “mataba ka!” comments not just about us, but any person in general.
There’s so many problems in the world tapos ang pinakikialaman mo mga matataba?
The only “M” you should worry about is yung mga magnanakaw.
I would never screen grab a photo and shame someone.
Pero, sa true lang. The people fat shaming my Mom and sister in the comments are usually men who are also big 99% of the time.
It’s 2023. Buy a mirror. It’s probably cheaper than an onion.
Different reactions of my family to the proclamation:
Apple: 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Me: 😤🙄🤬😡😒😑
Mom: Bakit nakakalakad na yan? Hoy, yung isa wala na rin yan neck brace oh!
The most important lesson my Mom taught me when we moved to America was to never forget my Filipino roots. I know how important it is to be informed and to educate yourself about what’s going on. Never lose touch of your culture and the world around you.
As a Filipino, I’ll probably be cancelled for this, but I don’t see the point in Miss Universe or most pageants. I know they talk about their platform, but half the girls competing become host or actresses.
It’s still fun to watch, but the “purpose” is lost in translation.
Kim Atienza is a trusted TV host. Many Filipinos look to him for information and facts.
He proceeds to tweet out false info about monkeypox being an STD affecting gay men.
We already face discrimination by simply existing, and he couldn’t even do a quick google search. I can’t.
More than half of our almost 16 Million followers throughout our social medias are Filipinos from the Philippines. Parang ang kapal naman namin na hindi namin gamitin yung platform na yon in such an important election. They’re the reason why we have the opportunities we have now.
One is president and one lost the election. The president is open for criticism since he is serving the whole Philippines.
One who lost is vlogging and supporting local businesses and people are still criticizing?
At least the one who lost isn’t partying every 2 weeks.
We miss Judy Ann’s Kitchen. What was so great about her is she cooked whatever she wanted and how she wanted. She didn’t care. She took risk even if it wasn’t the most appealing and didn’t edit out the mistakes.
Hoping for Ate Juday makes a comeback on YouTube.
The idea that you just need to “keep working” to “get rich” is outdated.
People in the Philippines don’t have any opportunities, the system is fixed to benefit the rich 1%, and keep the 99% helpless and struggling.
Are Filipinos ready for this conversation, is the question.
Philippines is a nation full of world class talent with no support. Imagine if the govt. fully invested in music, film, and sports similar to other countries.
It’ll boost tourism, economy and if done right can bleed into other areas in need of funding.
We all have our own personal choices. But imagine holding such a huge platform and influence, but choosing to stay neutral in such an important election. It shows that while others may suffer the consequences, some are privileged enough just staying silent.
Xilhouete and her partner deserved that win. But why does Rajo keep talking about couture? When did drag race or drag in general become about couture? Marina has a great runway, her aesthetic and brand is probably the best out of the bunch.
#DragRacePH
It’s not cancel culture, it’s just difference in morals. If you have other options, why would you spend your money in a company that supports a problematic individual?
No one got offended. People just wish there was a little decorum, class, and respect of someone whose spouse is in politics. It’s a senate office, not your home. Not to mention average Filipinos can’t even afford a simple meal or health care let alone an IV drip.
As a video creator, I’ll admit it’s hard, but its hardships isn’t even comparable to any regular 9-5 jobs.
People are sad and stressed because most regular jobs don’t pay enough to meet the cause of living.
Get out of your influencer bubble and get real if you think otherwise.
Someone just commented that they’re unfollowing us because we do a lot of sponsorships now.
My Mom didn’t struggle as single Mom of 5 kids and caregiver/CNA to pass up a check. Not in this economy.
Political views defines a person. Politicians dictate what rights you have and what laws to pass.
Don’t let anyone tell you it’s something you can just move on from. People who say that obviously aren’t affected because they’re either privileged or delusional or both.
Agree with Maine.
Furthermore, this mindset of raising your child to be the breadwinner needs to stop.
We need to put that responsibility to the government and elect better leaders that will use government money for the people instead of pocketing it.
''WAG NATING IPASA SA KANYA ‘YUNG RESPONSIBILIDAD.’
Actress-TV host Maine Mendoza had this advice to one “Eat Bulaga” contestant after the latter told her seven-year-old son Ace to study hard so that he can give his family a better life in the future.
Stop glamorizing poverty. Regardless if you helped those in need or used to be in their position, the problem is you’re using being poor as an aesthetic or a “look.”
Those who struggle don’t have the choice but eat those food or wear those types of clothes. Don’t be tone deaf.
Commenting on certain issues isn’t “nakikisawsaw.” It’s using your platform to let people know certain things shouldn’t be excused.
It has become this issue of some people thinking they’re untouchable because people around them enable their bad behavior for relevancy.
Finally catching up on Dirty Linen. No hate to the actors. LOVE YOU ALL. But can they not insert unnecessary love team plots in shows where it’s not needed.
Janine and Zanjoe is the only one that makes sense to the story.
Let’s stick to the revenge plot.
