This is something we have been piloting with good feedback. ‘Teacher encounters’ gets practitioners out into industry and can be linked to their subjects (e.g. biologists to Oxford biomedica etc). Evaluation here:
We can change this perception by expanding professional development opportunities for teachers, including secondments to relevant industry sectors outside the classroom, enabling them to return with new skills, enthusiasm, and energy.
