Is the text ideal? No! On the contrary, there is too much Euroatlantism and too little concern of the people. Could this have been amended if the whole group, not just 6 MEPs, got involved? Perhaps. But @Left_EU chose to stick to @OezlemADemirel 's self-righteous guilt-tripping.
Except for the Nordics, none from The Left cared to sponsor the joint motion, which may have influenced the final text. This happens when one mainly cares about painting victims as war-mongers, blaming us for escalation, sabotaging support, and forcing UA to capitulate.

In today's debates MEP Demirel reached a new low: once wishful thinking is now outright gaslighting. Putin arbitrarily & unilaterally began this war. It hardly takes a talk to make him give up. While weapons alone might not do the thing either, without them Ukraine is doomed.

We see growing concerns about surviving this winter, still lacking AD, wide-spread distrust & fatigue. But to end the war Trump has to convince Putin, not us. While we must become more self-sufficient, and invest in crisis preparedness and social cohesion.
