This is what happens when people jump into trading without knowing anything about microstructure Learning Objectives: Market Fragmentation - Price Discovery - Liquidity Venues - Order Routing
The reason I coined the phrase "Price Delivery" years ago is because most posted depth-of-liquidity is fake. Your platforms are delivering prices, but not necessarily liquidity, depending on which counter-party hits on the liquidity. An Institution will make liquidity available and offer it to as many as 30 facilities. Once the liquidity is hit, the price disappears on ALL platforms. Hence, "Last Look Practice" etc. The term "Price Delivery" has been bastardized by retail quacks who have no clue what it means or how the institutional internals work.

@ES_F_Leo When you put the emphasis on “ hidden,” I thought that's what you were referring to Well, technically, latent liquidity could be a subset of passive liquidity anyway :)
