I am a doctor!!
Delighted to announce that Dr. Georgia Bastos successfully defended her dissertation today! Georgia was an inspiring and original thinker when she joined my lab in 2019. She developed into a rigorous neuroscientist, with great papers to show! Best of luck in Bonn! @oigeorgia

yes.. you've heard it right... the hamm lab is studying psychedelics! Make sure to get an exclusive look at it at #ACNP2023 if you have a chance, very interesting predictive processing effects on both mice and humans.
Looking fwd to #ACNP2023 next week! Check out our poster on mon w/ @oigeorgia @chloelilywest. I’ll be presenting our work in both humans and mice showing how 5HT2A agonists (psychedelics) affect cortical feedback circuitry to alter visual context processing and saccadic behavior.

Sapolsky thinks he is going agaisnt free will by stating statistics about hormones and trauma that generalize behavior when actually the fact that there's a lot of examples where those conditions didnt triggered the "statistically likely" outcome is an example of free will
Here's the 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲 by Kevin Mitchell and Robert Sapolsky Thanks to @WiringTheBrain for correcting the enormous shortcomings by Sapolsky.
