Some may remember that I put up my London Road Stand sign for auction at the end of last year. I’m really happy to say that it has been bought by the club for £2.5k. The money will now go to the trust for Joey’s daughters. Hopefully, it will be used at a new stadium 😀

The lady who won

, Asmaa, was the surgeon who saved my wife’s life after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. She’s an absolutely wonderful person who kept our family complete.
KR rightly getting pellets tonight, but the role Williams & Ferguson played in this disastrous campaign shouldn’t go unchallenged.
Should we go down, I want their resignations. They allowed a clearly unfocussed KR to waste a fortune, & in doing so they have put us back years.
Home to Swansea in the FA Cup. Why can’t we have an area of segregation like this for this season’s league fixtures? We’re hurling money away by not doing so. So frustrating.

It’s 8 (eight) years since Swindon Town finished higher than

.
If that doesn’t end a lovely day on a particularly satisfying point, I don’t know what would.
I'm auctioning my London Road sign. All proceeds will go to the Joey Beauchamp Trust Fund. Please bid/share this to raise awareness of the auction and let's raise a fitting amount for this unique piece. It's from the Left Side (best side, obvs).

Bloody loved the second half. Great effort from the team with particular mention to Browne, O’Donker (surely his best game for the club) and Eastwood (who had a slow start but was excellent for most of it).
Also, Negru was very assured and confident.
Come on Oxford!
I’ve just written ‘OUFC - We Hate Swindon’ on the steamed up glass of my hotel shower (or mirror). I’ve done that at every hotel I’ve stayed in for at least 30 years.
I’m 53 years old and proud that the run continues.
3 years ago today. One of my favourite moments under KR. We didn’t quite know what was just about to unfold or that it was the last game we would attend for what felt like a lifetime.

The Friends of Stratfield Brake are simply against a football stadium in their vicinity. They claim that the Triangle is a valuable resource for the community. Really? You can see what they really think of the Triangle below.

The last
#endeavour
brings the end of 37 years of watching the various shows. So many memories of watching the original shows with someone very dear to me who’s no longer with us. He’d have loved that tonight.
Mick Brown - truly an Oxford man. His contribution to the club, through some of its darkest times, is second to none and is deserving of huge praise and recognition. Thank you, Mick.

FoSB has applied to Kidlington PC for a grant of £3k for their legal challenge to stop the new stadium. They do this knowing that it could mean the end of
#oufc
. If you're a resident of Kidlington, please attend the meeting on 18/1 to object to this misuse of public funds
It’s imperative that people reset their frustrations caused by KR and the Board/Execs, and get behind Liam Manning. We need positivity to get us over the line.

That’s my last away game for the foreseeable. I can take the disappointing results/performances, but I’m not spending time & money to have to witness a significant element of our support berate the players and manager for 90 mins. It’s happening every week away from home. No ta.
If Hackett had been recruited from another club, we’d all be showering him as a returning hero in a ticker-tape parade.
Just because he was already here doesn’t mean he’s not deserving of a promotion, but it almost certainly meant he had to work harder to prove his worth.

The best thing about having my birthday on Boxing Day is always having football to go to. It can also be the worst thing, too.
Come on, Oxford, make it a good one.
Ahead of the weekend and during a week of celebration and hope for all

fans, only
@TheOxfordMail
could decide to run a piece highlighting a two week old objection from TVP to the stadium. What an awful act by an awful organisation.
So pleased for Harris. He comes across so well and good to see that all his hard work is being rewarded. I bet those fellas who spent the whole match at Northampton slating him are raging.
Eynsham to Abingdon today. 16.8 miles and now nearly 70 in total.
Walked with my brother and brother-in-law, which was a real fillip. The weather was superb and walking alongside Port Meadow and through Oxford was a real highlight of the trip; our city is amazing. 💛💙
Great to keep a clean sheet at last. Not much football, but good shape, discipline and effort. Thought we had the best chance of the game.
Something positive to build on. Yellows!
Days out in the English countryside don’t come better than this. The stretch between Wallingford and Pangbourne must be amongst the prettiest on the
#thamespath
. It’s simply England at its best. The pictures house was George Michael’s.
Derby fans, at 2-0 down, were still resolutely behind their team, and perhaps the loudest team to visit us in recent times. Our fans, when 2-0 up, were so quiet that I could hear the pigeons cooing to each other in the rafters above our seats.
It’s a real shame.
All it took was one signing of intent to move me from:
“I’m glad the season has finished. I need a break from it and I certainly won’t miss it”
to
“Time has slowed. My life is empty and devoid of purpose without going to Oxford matches.”
#oufc
We made it to Tower Bridge! Today has been a very busy and very enjoyable stroll along the
#thamespath
. So many things to see but I was particularly impressed with the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station. Last day tomorrow…
I don’t buy kits and I’m not that fussed about them, but I think it’s poor to rob the club of one of its best opportunities to market itself and manage the launch.
I like DB. I’m desperate for him to be a success, but I left the game downhearted. The result was crappy but the thing that’s gnawing away at me is:
What is DB’s system/style of play?
He keeps saying that it’s attacking football, but I seldom see it.
How long must we wait?
I’ve spent the evening rewatching the final and the scenes afterwards. What a great contribution Paul Warne made to coverage. Generous and sincere towards Buckingham, too.
There’s been some absolutely brilliant letters written to Oxfordshire County Council concerning the proposed stadium. I hope those that they’re addressed to actually take the time to read them if only because it would take a monster to be unmoved.
#oufc
How could anyone want to stop that thing of beauty? Football fan or not, that’s a facility the city and the county absolutely need, and it’s of a quality in keeping with the special nature of both.

West Brom and Blackburn are plotting moves for Oxford United star Cameron Brannagan. The midfielder, who was instrumental in Oxford’s promotion to the Championship, is entering the final year of his contract.

I’ve watched Oxford at Southend many times. Occasionally winning, most often losing and always uncomfortable. I’m sad to see them the subject of such shameful and continual mismanagement. I wish all

the best and look forward to watching

at Roots Hal once more.
53% of the stadium survey respondents were

fans. That means just 2,883 fans could be bothered to fill in a survey which took 5 minutes to complete.
Incredible.
I’m trying to think of the last match where we so comprehensively took apart a team of Peterborough’s quality. It’s long enough ago that I can’t remember it.
Sensational stuff.
Obviously there are plenty of reasons to be disappointed, but I’ll look on the bright side and say that we played very well and Wildschut and Murphy both looked impressive. I’m a little more optimistic.
Today’s walk was from Abingdon to Wallingford. This is a fairly isolated part of the Thames with long stretches of fields and not much else. It’s very pretty though and the weather was very kind to us.
Robinson’s justification includes pearls such as ‘Bodin can play centrally’ and ‘Baldock and Browne are close to being fit’
He‘a insulting our intelligence. Still, people continue to lap it up because he ‘cares’.
I could puke.

I’m looking forward to today’s match but I’m so pleased that this awful season will be over by the day’s end. Let’s hope for a better one to come.
