Spot on. We legit don’t even attempt to go to Pablo Kisel anymore. I rather be downtown Brownsville drinking a cold one with the boys. Where shits empty and I gotta deal with maybe one homeless person asking for any loose change.
Bro helped some guy get some food cause he was asking for money and then when we walk out I told him “make sure to eat bro” then mf tells me “you know I’m not homeless right I just needed like $2 bucks for a blunt but thanks for the food you’re one cool dude”.
If I ever have kids I think one of the main things I want to teach them is how to handle rejection. A lot of people don’t know how to act after a person says no.
I shared a cool story about how my brothers and I really love Pokémon with one of my students at the beginning of the year. So over the school days he would leave cards for me on my desk or sometimes even on my truck. Elementary kids have some of the kindest hearts.
Big S/O to
@TxTakeover_Ned
and the growth of his program. His starting front court of
@JoshAkpovwa
(Seven Lakes HS) and
@keanu_28
(Stratford HS) bot commit to Division I schools before the start of their HS season.

Everyday after work there’s an old man that just sits at his porch and I just honk at him everyday I pass. Making sure he knows we have a ritual everyday.
