A few years ago, we made the heartbreaking decision to withdraw our 3rd XI. We vowed it was to be short term pain for long term gain. Thankfully we were able to enter a 3rd team this season after some sterling work by Gary Halliday, Stuart Hughes and Mark Coburn in particular.

The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

It was great to see one of our own in Irish cricket colours today. Matthew Halliday has been selected for the Ireland Under 17 Squad who are playing in a series of matches against the Under 15 and Under 19 teams over the next few weeks. Good luck to Matthew.

While it was great to get the win today at Bangor, the most pleasing thing was seeing 15 year olds Matthew Halliday and Ben White score 42 and take 2 wickets respectively. These are two talented kids we are very proud of and it was great to see them shine in senior cricket.

We are devastated to learn of the passing of our former player, Gary King. Gary grew up playing for the Aghy before moving to Dunmurry CC. Gary was a keen sportsman and also played for Derriaghy CCFC. We pass our sympathies on to Gary’s family and his vast circle of friends.
