Hello fellow computer people... Does anyone happen to have a dead socket 775 motherboard and would be willing to let me have these bits (shroud/cover thing and lever)? I have a few boards from the scrap missing them.. any help would be appreciated 🥰

Something really ticks me off about how they're spending energy on this random BS instead of making it a good, lean, fast OS in order to actually convince people to switch to windows 11 when windows 10 support ends...

Of course, downgrading GCC/G++ to 9.5.x fixes the issue Time to file a GCC bug? Do I even bother? Would they care? Nobody else slapping the "i686" label on anything seems to, why should they? I'm tired...............

@mdscntstmgm There's no setup folder, the kernel is in the bzImage . cd file... You can launch it from DOS using "LOADLIN.EXE bzimage . cd" You can get it here:

@Sarkies_Proxy From my impression, beyond really basic tasks sysprep is borderline unusable without hacks... Unfortunately for my sanity I have learned to chase down rabbit holes until I get there 😞

Another day, another "my compiler package is called i686 and i select -march=i586 and -mno-sse and -mno-sse2 and I still get SSE instructions from GCC" I'm so tired of this f*cking bullshit My simple console program is reading and writing registry keys WHY IS THERE SSE F*CK OFF

First XP QuickInstall version working... it is VERY easy to break stuff, and I didn't get the HAL registry stuff quite right.... But it does run!
