TLDR; publishing localisations takes a lot of work, and comes with a degree of compromise. It’s technical work, it’s creative work, it necessitates endurance and precision and care. Projects can change overnight. Stop harassing localisers for doing their jobs.

I’ve been a localiser, I’ve been an editor, and now I work in production. BY FAR the most thankless job is localisation. You have all the visibility and none of the control over the final product. Sometimes people change things and you only find out on release.

a lot to unpack here. the devs have clearly stated that the quotes they got for translation aren't financially viable for them, so they'd be losing money by commissioning translations. 🧵
