Unfortunately, we were the ones who hired the contractor. We never anticipated that he would gain access to funds. He was extreamly talented and we do not work on external networks. While we are focused on deploying several Tier 1 projects, it would be better for our brand if this incident hadn’t occurred, although we acknowledge it was our responsibility. Our team has traced the movement of the funds and is working with authorities to recover them. We have also put together a comprehensive compensation plan to make things right in the event funds can not be recovered.

I can confirm that both Ben and Cassie were not involved in the removal of funds. The culprit was a contractor assigned by NuGenesis, who managed to gain unauthorized access to the multisig wallet. We are actively pursuing this individual. After thorough investigation, we have confirmed that it was indeed one of our contractors who committed this crime. In response, we have issued a public statement addressing the situation and have put together a comprehensive compensation package. We are also working diligently to recover the stolen funds, having identified how and where they were taken. While we take full responsibility for this incident, we have proposed a $5 million technology compensation package to make amends. The developer involved is highly skilled, and no one could have predicted that he would be able to access any of the funds.
