A great example of why it is so important to correctly categorize America as a Constitutional Republic. The Founding Fathers were very anti-democracy, and were intentional to not duplicate the failed Greek democracies. In a pure democracy, a small group of tyrants need only create the illusion of majority to then steam roll over the Liberty of the people.
