Before 2021, West Ham had never reached the group stages of a European competition.
3 years later, we’ve played 37 European fixtures in 13 countries, winning 70% of them, scoring 69 goals, and lifting a trophy.
Beyond proud. The best years I’ve ever had as a football supporter.
This is complete nonsense.
I used love heading the ball and it’s done me absolutely zero harm and I used to love heading the ball and it’s done me absolutely zero harm.

Since joining West Ham in January 2020, Tomas Soucek has been directly involved in 62 goals (45 goals 17 assists) for club and county.
One of the best signings the club has ever made.
On this day in 2023 West Ham beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 at the Amex Stadium in front of 31,508.
The West Ham goals came from James Ward-Prowse, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.

Played 15, won 14, drawn 1, lost 0.
Chelsea, Tottenham, Leicester and Aston Villa in it:
Played 31, won 16, drawn 5, lost 10.

🚨 Mail Sport understands that Arsenal will include:
• VAR Lee Mason not drawing the offside lines prior to Ivan Toney’s equaliser for Brentford (February 2023).
• Gabriel Martinelli goal vs. Manchester United (a) wrongly disallowed (September 2022).
• Manchester City’s Mateo
The fact ‘West Ham are massive’ is known all over Europe despite it stemming from a twitter account who made videos virtually throwing cats out a window and getting an American bloke to enthusiastically dress up as West Ham Jesus, will forever be my favourite niche about the club
If you’re above the age of 20 and don’t look back on the Moyes era with immense happiness then you’ll probably never be satisfied with anything in life, by far the best years we’ve had for decades.
Hopefully there’s many more to come, but you can never bank on it at West Ham.
Our highest PL points tally came in 2020/21. We had 21 points after 13 games
We currently have 20 points after 13 games, as well as being top of our Europa League group, in a League Cup quarter final, and are European champions
What a time to be a hammer. Enjoy your Saturday ⚒️
🚨🔴 Erik ten Hag: “Why Sancho out? Jadon in the week had an ear infection and was not 100 per cent fit…”.
“He could play but we made choices. That can change”.
“There will be a decision, survival of the fittest. I can only put 20 players in the squad”.
“Me and the manager have a very special relationship, both on and off the pitch. Last week, he even took me and my father out for a nice dinner.
When I said ‘pass the salt please daddy’ they both reached for it (laughs)”.
- Lucas Paqueta on David Moyes.
Baffles me that James Ward-Prowse isn’t unanimously loved at West Ham, let alone there being some fans that don’t rate him.
17 G/A ALREADY in his debut season, most ground covered in the Premier League, and even scored the winner away at Spurs. What more can you ask of a player?
Clubs that have won the Europa Conference League:
Roma 🏆
West Ham 🏆
Olympiacos 🏆
Clubs that have failed to win it:
Tottenham
Aston Villa
Villarreal
Lazio
Nice
Rennes
Frankfurt
Fenerbahce
Leicester
Marseille
PSV
Lille
Besiktas
Union Berlin
Feyenoord
AZ
Betis
Ajax
Fiorentina
“Tomas Soucek was in every day in training, he was so committed, wanted to run, he didn’t want days off”
“We had to lock the gates”
- West Ham legend David Moyes on West Ham legend Tomas Soucek
James Ward-Prowse really came in after gameweek 1, covered the most distance in the premier league, played the second most minutes at the club, dropped 18 G/A and scored a late winner away at spurs and STILL isn’t universally loved at West Ham???
⏲️ Vladimír Coufal: 4,063'
⏲️ James Ward-Prowse: 4,021'
Only two players played over 4000' minutes for West Ham across all competitions this season 🏃
Time for a well deserved break 👏
I will reiterate, West Ham fans have lived the dream the last 4 years, and every single club in England outside of the big 6 (and possibly Leicester) would give anything to have been on the journey we’ve been on.
Enjoy it thoroughly and don’t let anybody take that away from you.
30 points after 18 games is West Ham’s second best ever start to a Premier League season, second to 2021/22 (31)
European knockouts for a third consecutive year to come and we’re currently European champions.
What a time to be a hammer, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise ⚒️
This summer could see the return of the Betway Cup with a friendly at the London Stadium the weekend before the Premier League starts on Saturday 17 August 2024
“Me and the manager have a special relationship, he’s helped me settle in England quickly. Last week he even took me and my father out to a nice Mexican restaurant in London”
“When I said ‘pass the salsa papa’ they both reached for it (laughs)”
- Edson Alvarez on David Moyes 🇲🇽
I remember going to Sevilla at home in 2022 and thinking I really want us to go through because I was desperately craving one more European fixture, just one.
We’ve played 29 more since then.
West Ham will only be reigning European Champions for 5 more days.
I hope you cherished it rather than choosing to be miserable for the last 12 months.
I’ve been trying to write a fitting tribute, but how can you?
How can you condense 5 years worth of incredible service into 280 measly characters?
What a credit to our football club, what a great man and what a great manager.
Thank you David Moyes. You made us massive 🥲❤️
On this day in 2016 Michail Antonio scored the first West Ham league goal at the London Stadium in a 1-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth with 56,977 in attendance.
“Me and the manager have a very special relationship, he’s helped settle in England very quickly.
At away games, we sit next to each other on the coach and share earphones so we can listen to Stonebwoy together. Bawasaaba is our song”
-Mohammed Kudus on David Moyes 🇬🇭
#Ghana
“Speaking on a new episode of Iron Cast, Ward-Prowse says Olympiacos were very ungracious in victory.
Ward-Prowse revealed they were rubbing it in the team’s face with their celebrations down the tunnel and in the changing rooms”
Life comes at you very fast.
4 goals
Bowen hat trick
Paqueta & Emerson linkup
Kudus balling
Coufal doing nutmegs
Soucek playing one-twos.
Emerson screamer
How’s that for entertainment 😮💨⚒️
“He’s been fantastic to me. He helped me a lot, both on and off the pitch. I heard Emi (Emerson) call him a father figure, I think a lot of the players think the same. I actually called him daddy by mistake last week (laughs)”
Lucas Paqueta on David Moyes
I forget who said it recently but it is a big shame that Lanzini left at the same time as Declan Rice because he never really got a fitting send off.
Lovely player and a great servant.
REMINDER: David Moyes has the opportunity to become the first manager in history to win the Conference League, Europa League, and Champions League consecutively.
His side return to European action tonight.
“When I got my first [England] cap he was so happy for me. One of the best things about him is his door is always open. He’s one of the best people I’ve worked with. I’ll always be thankful for his support. I wouldn’t be here without him”.
- England’s Jarrod Bowen on David Moyes
I never thought I’d see the day where not qualifying for Europe was deemed unacceptable at West Ham. Bar a big takeover, no other manager will be held to such high standards.
We’ve been unbelievably spoilt the last few years, it’s a shame that a section decided not to enjoy it.
BREAKING: West Ham are set to part company with David Moyes at the end of the season, with only a u-turn maybe possible if he manages to qualify the club for Europe again with the remaining
four games of the season.
@JacobSteinberg
Tomas Soucek’s range of goals at West Ham:
Headers - 10
Right foot - 15
Left foot - 7
Shoulder - 1
He’s genuinely one of the most complete goal scorers we’ve had in our recent history 😭 he also took penalties (scored 11/15) at Slavia Prague for good measure.
Monster.
Before Moyes, West Ham hadn’t:
-Finished with a positive PL goal difference more than once
-Scored in every home league match since 1927
-Ever got Europe via league position 2 years in a row
-Finished in the top 6 since 1999
-Won a trophy since 1980
It’s a resounding yes.
I’d like to think in 5/6 years there will be a Japanese West Ham telling his story about how he fell in love with the club after seeing Craig Dawson wallop Che Adams’ head into another stratosphere.
No matter what you say, these have been the glory years at West Ham
The last 4 years have been the most successful we’ve been since the 80s, and there’s a fair chance we may not see another period like it
It’s genuinely devastating that a section of fans chose not to enjoy it.
