Gentruckification: pickups and white collar insecurity The pickup - the icon of the hard-working, blue collar, honest American - has been co-opted by white collar, bullshit job-having poseurs who use their pickups to lie to themselves.

@jasonfurman Wouldn't it be better for more employers so the workers have more choice about where to work based on what they want?

@iamstilicho @PositivFuturist You cannot tell the difference between good regulation and bad regulation. The companies have reduced your country to a GDP and London has destroyed your social fabric. Be an Englishman. Not a widget.

@iamstilicho @PositivFuturist The mass migration + industrial flight destroying your country financially and culturally is the result of a coalition of global capital and philosophical liberalism Government regulation that prioritizes nationals and good domestic companies is necessary. All else is cope.

@iamstilicho @PositivFuturist You fundamentally don't understand the moment and the role global capital has played in destroying the Britain you and I both remember. The government needs to be used to prioritize the people inside - not the companies, not foreigners. You refuse to use the tools needed.

@iamstilicho @PositivFuturist Lol 'leftist' You global libertarian types have created the crises in GB by shipping jobs overseas and increasing migration until you broke the social cohesion of your country. You can't fathom that was the free market at work doing everything you ideologically want it to.

@PositivFuturist Because the shareholders and landlords benefit from increased migration that drives down wages and increases rent. Shareholders benefit when they can shut down plants in GB and ship the jobs overseas. The global free market has created your crises. It won't fix them.

@PositivFuturist @iamstilicho The danger isn't the income inequality. The danger is that people with less money will get sick of getting smaller and smaller bits of the pie until they just flip the table. Nobody wins when someone flips the table.
