Someone asked why I was sober. Generally it makes me feel better. I also don’t love my relationship with alcohol and had a problem with cocaine for a little while. So I am trying to be clean. The alcohol stuff had gotten worse with full time legal practice.
The weirdest part of being sober beyond navigating a heavily drinking focused culture is that some people feel self conscious that you’re not drinking and I don’t even tell people I’m sober anymore I just get water at the bar and drink it with a straw.
